We are almost there - the descent of Trump

The Mueller investigation has gone into territory that seems far afield from the immediate issue of collusion with Russia’s involvement in the US election: Mueller’s team is investigating “a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses as well as those of his associates,” a source familiar with the investigation told Bloomberg.
https://www.vox.com/world/2017/7/24/16008272/robert-mueller-fbi-trump-russia-explained

Does anyone really believe Mueller is going to come up empty? And if Trump somehow finds a way to fire Mueller, even the republicants will start pursuing options for removal.

My record on predictions lately have been more dismal than Tampee's face so I really should stop making them, but I'm fairly certain we're (the public) only seeing the proverbial tip of the iceberg at this point.
No, I don't think the Mueller team will come up empty.

On the other hand, we really don't know what he's going to find. The swamp is deep...

There is no question there's more down there than has been made public as yet.

I'll be very surprised if the Republicans grow a spine and take action against him. Pleasantly, but still surprised.

Then again, if he keeps attacking them like he's been doing to Senator Murkowski lately, they might actually grow said spine.

The republicants have been scheming to get rid of him since November 2016. They don't have spines but they're cunning.

Not yours, the party's.
I don't know who you mean when you say "the party" is hysterical.

The Democratic party consists of people including me and dag. We aren't hysterical over this. We see a threat to our Democracy when the sitting President is more concerned about leaks than he is about Putin interfering with our election. That the president was aided by Putin's actions and he said he welcomed Putin's actions is doubly concerning.

So, who is this hysterical "Democratic Party"? All I see are people who are concerned about this president and some think there is enough to impeach.

By the way, can we both agree that Tampee's face is probably dismal?

They (the Trump "team") just keep throwing gas on the fire. Brian Benczkowski Trump's nominee to lead the DOJ's criminal division is coming from one of Russia's largest financial institutions (Alpha Bank)? Putin has something on Trump. It's obvious. The sanction bill will give him more opportunities to prove it.

"jk" not necessary! I LOL'ed.
I included "jk" because I've had my fill of histrionics lately. LOL

Question on the top post in this reply. Are you saying you think Brian will work to prove Trump's connections to organized crime in Russia or his ties to Alpha Bank indicates he's just another corrupt toady?

He was working for known friends of Putin. He's Putin's nominee. Okay. Maybe I need to take a break. LOL. Nah. The shit is on!

It has nothing to do with hysteria at all. The shit is real.
Maybe so, but it's no excuse for the Democrats to absolve themselves of the responsibility of governing and fighting for the needs of those they say they represent.

Where is the daily Democratic party press conference about the health care debate, calling the Republicans out over and over for being heartless jackals for scheming to do ANYTHING BUT make sure every American everywhere is covered? Let alone gutting the progress made by the last administration and throwing millions out of healthcare insurance?

If they used even half their television time for that they do on Russiagate I'd have more respect for them.

Let me see if I can follow this contorted statement. It starts with agreement but like a dog returning to his vomit, you go back to crying about a faceless "against healthcare Democratic Party". As if like Dag and I aren't members of a coalition that calls itself the Democratic Party.

This thread is about the decline and fall of President Trump. I suspect derailment is imminent.

President Donald Trump's nominee to lead the Justice Department's criminal division represented a Russian bank named in the dossier compiled by a former British spy detailing the Trump campaign's alleged ties to Moscow.
http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-doj-nominee-helped-russian-bank-2017-7

Benczkowski was working for this russian financial institution as recently as June 2017!

WTF! Even if this turd were the best person for the job (and based on reading about his background, he doesn't even make much sense for the position), no admin (EDIT: with this amount of suspicion about russian ties already swirling around) would nominate someone with close ties to russia unless they were forced to. Even the Trump people can't be this goddamned stupid, can they be? He's Putin's nominee. He must be. Nothing else makes sense.

So, a possibility that our government is being controlled to some degree by a hostile foreign adversary is not far and above the most pressing matter the country faces? Come on. You're joking, right?

Your head.is up your ass.

The problem is not just that President Trump is selfish, insecure, egotistical, ignorant and unserious. It is that he neither fully grasps nor minimally respects the concept of honor, without which our governing system falls apart. He believes “honorable” means “obsequious in the service of Trump.” He believes everyone else’s motives are as base as his.

The Trump administration is, indeed, like the court of some accidental monarch who is tragically unsuited for the duties of his throne.

Who uses that word in normal language? Shill...I'm pretty sure it's one of the most repeated word used against anybody who isn't in line with Berniecrat ideology. These jokers are boringly repetitive. Including how they self-confirm their identity through the use of code-speak.

But dag already has "shill", and "hysterical". If he can just a hypocrite he'll have a Bingo. I want a bingo too. I'll have to go out and shill some more.
