I will push the petition I started even if it meant me dying for it. This issue needs to be solved and I do not want my children to have the same legal trouble I have been through in my life because of it. It sickens me to think that I have such a hard life now because of such a harmless thing. Odd really. Actually pathetic is the word I was looking for. We need to do this guys. And if your afraid the petition will not be pushed once completed, you are sorrily mistaken. I want to change this, more so then when I wanted to start my roofing company. The company turned out great and I now have the ability to take off three days a week and do what I please. We need to set goals, and make then happen. Period.

And whoever said the DEA thing. They don't have the time, resources, or willingness to go to 100,000 peoples houses to bust a small time grower thats only growing for himself. Now if your growing commercially I wouldn't be putting my name anywhere lol. But then again I'm not, and I hope people on here would be smart enough not to as well. There are so many other ways to make money. Let's just get this petition done.

Also if anyone belongs to any other Marijuana endorsed sites and could forward the link on there that would be great! Thanks for the help to all!
Im not saying that you wont get any sigs,i hope you do and i do hope it works for you,but in my exp the only thing that will change anything is people actually standing up and shouting about it.
I really hope that you prove me wrong:blsmoke:

I support your cause to the best of my ability but unfortunately i dont live in the US and cant vote there, so writing this is actually the best of my ability. u guys have gota somehow make it 'socialy acceptable' to smoke weed and destroy the stereotype of lazy stoners but be active about it.

I thought u guys in the US had a big ban on alcohol in the old days??? you should try to use the same or similar ideas that people had to get alcohol legalized again.

some stoners gota be polis i think.

They smoke too. Getting them to speak up would be a major accomplishment.
i agree that there has to be a few potheads on capital hill, but given the current legal status it could possibly be a career wrecker for any of these guys to go public. maybe it would fly, but they obviously arent taking that chance, just as nobody ever wants to take a chance signing a petition, cause us potheads are paranoid

I think its more likely that we do not trust our governments to listen to our opinions without throwing us in jail for them, that is not paranoia its a fact.:blsmoke:

I'm new to this site and drunk to boot so i'll do my best to word my post carefully.

Prohibition of alcohol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia read it

Weed used to be legal, so did alcohol. Hell, so did cocaine and a lot of other controlled substances. Alcohol is the only intoxicating substance I'm aware of that was legal, made illegal, and legalized again. Could I be mistaken, hell I probably am, but I'll make my point anyways because I believe in what I'm saying and too stupid drunk to research before I preach (lesson learned here to you all, don't do that).

Look at history here guys and gals. Why was alcohol made to be illegal? Why was marijuana(MJ)? Pretty close there in argument, I think. So why was MJ never legalized again, but my/our friend beer(I love you beer!) and the like was? Good fucking question! People spoke out about prohibition, BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B I G T I M E

Propaganda is a bitch, we all choose our battles with it in one way or another. Just look at the propaganda videos that were given about the use of MJ and alcohol. It's an effin' joke what was said to sway uneducated populous to side with those who say this-or-that is bad. Problem being that people or so fucking ready to follow the leader that it's just disgusting at times.

Sure, MJ has its downsides. So does alcohol. So does cigarettes. So does making sweet lubbin too much, rash is a bitch. MOST things are good in moderation. While other things that are seriously addictive, like heroin IMO!, probably should not be made publicly available. MJ and alcohol certainly don't fit that shoe, IMO.

You want to start a petition, that's awesome. That's really awesome! I'm glad to see you take initiative to try to change something. Problem is that we need MANY more people like yourself to change anything in this "LAND OF THE FREE" <-- bullshit phrase. effing BS omg that p's me off!

My advice is, continue with your petition. But do your homework first. And then when you think your ready, keep doing it. Then do it some more.

If you want to persuade people you need charisma, lots of it. Speaking intellectually to those who see the contrary will help your cause many times over. Just a petition will get you nowhere but your name on a hit-list for the people who'd rather martyr your ass. You can beat them at their own game, but you'll need to go farther than anyone else who has before, this much is for certain. You'd better be ready to get put in the slammer too. Starting a significant uprising will get the DEA on ur ass in a heaertbeat, growing is prob not a good idea at this point.

Rather than continue my rant, ill leave you all with this food for thought. Please don't bother flaming me if you want to argue, I won't make a rebuttal.

Good luck, best wishes to all.

We have tried to legalize it up here in Alaska and have even got the proposition on the ballot. It always narrowly fails. I will tell you why. Misinformation. Those that are fighting against it have more money to fight and they also don't have to be ashamed of fighting for the cause. Picture this- a bunch of local high ups come out and show support for the drug and even if it passes they can be ostricized in the community. Imagine if it fails what risk they have. Now back to my original point. Look at all the bullshit propoganda that is put out when there is a vote on the matter and even when there is not. Absolute falsities and lies. How do we fight that. They use every weapon in their arsenal to keep it the way it is. Everytime we go for it up here they show somebody in a suit that looks like a respectable member of society talking all the bullshit about the druog and then they give someone else a chance on the other side to speak on the news and it's some long haired hippy that looks like he hasn't bathed in weeks and can not speak clearly and intelligently. Now I can see through the bullshit but for all those uneducated folks out there that could go either way, it is pretty easy to see how they are swayed. I can't believe that we can't possess a little herb yet you can't swing a dead cat without finding a place where you can buy enough alcohol to not only drink yourself stupid but to death. Yet that is perfectly fine. The irony there just baffles me. I have smoked allot of weed and have never felt anywhere close to death nor have I felt weird driving.Look how many people die from drunk drivers every year. Look what happened when they tried to take ralfandfall away. Revolt people REVOLT.

Rant Over.............:joint:

I forgot to add that cocaine was originally demonized because they said it made the mexicans angry, bloodthirsty rapists and murderers. They said the same basic thing about marijuana and the blacks. Basically used as an imigration tool. The worst part to come from this bullshit drug war (specifically cocain)is the advent of crystal meth. Cut off imports and we will make something else which is by all means far worse. I have personally watched meth destroy my best friend and best man's life.To think they tried wrapping weed crimes in with meth crimes up here. They aren't even in the same galaxy.

Allot of thruth there. The reason why alcohol came back was the fact that people were screaming big time. Not just any people but the rich high ups that ran and had to do with the distilleries and breweries of the time. It's all about who you know and blow.

the only way, and i do mean the only way it will be legalized if a few very well respected, very successful people step forward and admit their responsible usage. the emphasis here is responsible. i'm talking lawyers, senators, CEO's and other such suit wearing people. there has never, in the history of this country, been an honest and frank discussion about the truths of cannabis.
