So when I cut my plants I went outside to shake off the soil and look at the roots.I had moved them from 1 to 5 gallon pots 8 weeks ago. In the 5 gallon pots the roots grew less than 20%. I was expecting nice growth. Most of this is due to the fact that I watered every 4-5 days, also I got some low PH readings in the 2nd week of bloom.
I think soil growers need to imitate hydro growers more, Soil should dry every 2 days, this let's that oxygen get to the roots faster. Heck if it dried every day then I think one might see stronger plants, water every 24-36 hours.
I am thinking either mixing extra perlite, or the mini rockwool croutons cubes into the soil, any thoughts on this?
i am going hydro next grow but may keep one plant in soil and experiment.
