weaning clone from dome +rep

so i have a clone that's doing well, in soil and under a humidity dome for 5 days
thinking of popping off the dome, but wondered if doing it gradual, say for a few hours a day is best?
or just rip it off like bandage?

Just take it off and put it in the real world. It will be fine. Continually changing its environment by weaning off it off of the dome could only cause bad things to happen in my opinion.

ya, just take it off. or prop the top off over night for some ventilation and take it off in the morning.

i never understood the need for humidity domes

hadn't thought there might be bad stuff from swapping the dome in and out, guess that could be possible - +rep

edit: sorry about the rep, you already helped me out once today

what i like to do is a week into the rooting process is take off the dome for an hour or 2
and the gradually let more time pass...i found if u leave the dome on to long your plant
will have problems adjusting to the outside temp.
good luck

Take it off when you can get the natural humidity pretty high. That way there is not an abrupt shock.

think i'll pop the dome towards the end of the light cycle, give it 1/2 day of full light
