So here goes, I bought ten Diesel ryder seeds online, but they were apparently out of stock. So they sent me 5 feminized seeds instead. This is fine, but I intended to make seeds for further planting. Since I have only female seeds, I have no male pollen.
Should I OPTION A: manipulate the light cycle to try to get a few male sex organs to appear in order to produce seeds for future batches of pot?
or OPTION B: use gibberellic acid?
  • also, question, can I smoke bud treated with giberellic acid if say I only treated one branch of one female?
It took over a month and a half for me to get my seeds and resolve the out of stock issue, plus it cost quite a bit. I am a college student and can't afford to buy more seeds. Thats why I want to breed my own. Any advice would be much appreciated.

IMO just grow the girls and clone the best one

dang i wish I could. Sorry i failed to mention they are lowryder crosses. So no cloning possible. But I think I found my answer after doing a few hours of reading. Gibberellic acid is FDA approved on sugar cane, blueberries, hops, and other plants at 0.15 ppm. I will be using 100 ppm solution (which is way more toxic, but teh acid is classified as having only slight acute toxicity) and I will seperate one of the five female plants and grow it under CFL, while spraying one branch/node, and I think i may even smoke the other nodes/branches, we will see. That way I will have seeds, and my other four will be sensi. I don't want to stress the plants with light to induce hermies, because I think it would have a higher chance of producing hermproditic seeds, than the gibberellic acid would. At least that's what I interpreted from what i've read. Don't anyone quote me. Experimentation is the best solution.

never did get the seeds. I ordered them (against my better judgement) and they were out of stock, then i told them what I would like sent in their place, and they never came. I lost like 100 bucks. Plus the colloidal silver i bought to induce the plants (i never received) to hermie. Lesson learned. maybe if i moved to cali one day i will try again. untill then, i'll stick with tomatoes and zuccini.

I write letters all the time to managers if im not satisfied like when I go out and the waiter is rude or even at walmart. They usually send me a gift card or something. Write them a polite email explain why you needed non feminized seeds they most likely at the least meet you half way they don't want to loose business. Keep the seeds
