weed bulds um...

so i see these adds n i gotta say anyone acutally try it out? i dont get the color sht u can pick the color of ur buld light? i thought it was all spectrums and then they add it to a hps light say adding sum blue light to your hps. i just wanna know if anyone has any input on these bulbs cuz its interesting and is this as good as alternating cfls for veg and then bringing in the flowering cfls? but honestly they sold me on the thicker buds and same lights for veg and flowering.

Don't spend money on CFLs

Covering more of the light spectrum CAN help the plants, but I wouldn't say it worth the trade-off. If you're buying lights buy HIDs

ya i gotta get my sht together and invest in a real grow, cfls lol i feel like a chump. just seems like the redkneck style of grwing no offense just seems cheap but works... i really wanna go hid then finish in hps as i do wit cfls blue for veg n red for flower. but adding this bulb to a hps take away the need for hid in veg? If it boosts the blue light while keeping the red but just enough to not need a hid period like turning a hps into a veg light and then take away the weedbulb and just let the hps flower if that makes anysense? or sumthing im rambling sry

You can get cheap HPS with everything for like $150 online. Buying a bunch of CFLs is more expensive

HPS and MH are both types of HIDs. Your best bet is to get a conversion bulb ( I use a MH bulb in mine for veg then an Eye Hortilux HPS bulb for flower)
