Good day folks.

I grew some plants last year & messed them all up when I screwed the lighting up. 4-5 weeks into flowering The lights got put back to 24 hours :( 2 hermies & some pollinated plants to show for it. Lots of seeds etc. I posted it before.

I harvested it anyways & I smoked a bit after it was in the jars for about a month or so. It sucked. But I was going to make BHO out of it anyways.

Well, long story short I left it in the jars (about 6 of them, perhaps 2-3 oz per jar) in my basement for over a year, we sold & moved & I found them.. I had forgotten about them being there. Well I ran out of bud so I decided to try a HgUE joint of the crap stuff thinking I would have to smoke a ton to get high & low & behold I was a mess. It still isn't say 100% but it certainly up there in the 85% category.

To simplify it, if I had paid for it I would have been happy.

I didn't know this could happen. I thought once cut & dried/cured that was it. But the year os so left in the bottles made a huge difference.

Anyone else ever have a similar experience?

Please comment.

Thanks

Good shit happens....yes I have had both good and bad happen over time...some got better and some just dried out and was chemically weak. Glad you had a good experience.

i always try to save anywhere from 1/2 oz to an oz and store it away for a few months. and everytime the saved buds are more potent and taste way better and also smell becomes more sweeter. it makes a huge difference after 2 months of being stored away and even more after a year.

Most of your competitors in the cannabis cup often cure their entries a yr before entering them.

I'm glad I read this post. My Tangerine Dream which took forever to finish has been my biggest disappointment. Two months in the jars and neither the smell or potency is there. I guess I can let these buds stay in the jars for a few months and get back to them, hopefully there will be a difference.

A lot of your taste and smell is determined during the dry stage.. Too fast of drying will hurt the final results... How long did you dry them for?

Yep.. I just opened a 1 1/2 yr old jar and vaped a bit. It is smoother and stronger... more mellow then when it was cured less than 3 months.
