I’m in Essex County…we got torrential downpours all day with high winds, gusts up to 50…They actually did surprisingly well, there was a couple times where I said to myself while cringing “this is it” :lol: but they held on, they been in a high wind environment since birth so I guess maybe they used to it..a couple plants are sideways but they starting to straighten back up..it’s still
considerably windy…oh man I hope they are salvageable! I think i’m gonna risk just letting them go without any cages/support stakes
There will be more storms and rain. When those colas get fat any rain will make them very heavy! A T post or 2 and some garden tape and you are set. You will be glad you did, come October!

you know what, you’re right…going to pick some up this week !! They have absolutely no wind break as they are on top of a hill on a deck so they get that direct hit
