My 5 beautiful ladies 19719.jpeg19717.jpeg19716.jpeg
I know I have issues but they seem to be getting taken care of just wanted to know how I'm doing! My 3rd grow. After this I'm going perpetual. These are 5 white widow all cloned from my first grow. Ill be home tomorrow to be able to get some better pictures.

Is that K deficiency?
Sure has that look doesn't it? Thats why I asked what his feed is. Could we be dealing with just a low PPM weak sauce scenario or are we dealing with a singular lack of K or perhaps a K uptake situation caused by a lack of iron or too much calcium? Unless he is just low PPM feeding, it's easier to look at what he is doing and see where his elemental PPM's are then make a more educated guess as to the exact cause. If his nutes are in my calculator and he gives his mix details then I could easily run the numbers for him.

I'm totally new at trying to judge deficiencies. I'm just trying to learn. I'm trying to do the no-till thing so I've gotta figure this stuff out, lol.

Whats your feed? They look a little hungry.

Why are you moving to the perpetual?

I'm not sure where my ppms are at. Growing in coco with amendments mixed in.

I kinda wanna give it a shot. But if im having issues I won't be doing it...

Is it the way the leaves look is how you can tell?

That and the overall runtyness of them. The need for feed goes way up when you transition to flower, especially potassium (K) and magnesium. A boost of P also helps during flower, but not too much and not too long.

Makes me want to go back to hydro now haha. What else can I add for more P and K? I have GH Flora 3 part but don't want to use it in my coco since I'm trying organic

What kind of soil media are you using exactly? And what nutes have you been using?

Growing in 70/30 coco perlite. And using Earth Dust from The Green Sunshine Co
Just looked it up. Are you using the Boost too, or just the base? Also remember organics take awhile to breakdown and become available to the plant.
  • Earth Dust Base (3-1-2) contains key nutrients for sustained vegetative growth. High nitrogen (N), Low Phosphorous (P), and Medium Potassium (K).
  • Earth Dust Boost (2-3-6) contains accelerated-release nutrients for powerful flowering growth. Low nitrogen (N), Medium Phosphorous (P), and High Potassium (K).

I think I’m done with organic. It takes too long to see changes. If you use the GH 3 part you can see changes by tomorrow

dry amendments seem to have issues in coco.

So just straight coco/perlite with the dry amendments? If so, I would maybe try some ewc/compost topdressing to try and help keep a healthy microbe population/get some organic matter in there. I always notice happier plants from a simple compost/ewc topdress. Will also help speedup the availability of the nutrients to the plant a bit more like @PadawanWarrior was just alluding to.

Hell ya. EWC are the Shit. I didn't even think to mention that. I don't use coco though. I use peat moss instead. I think of coco as more of a hydro media than organic soil.

I use peat as well when building my soils up. To be honest, only ever used coir in the worm bins as bedding on occasion so definitely talking outside of my league here.

@rkron0413 Some compost/ewc, peat and some extra aeration mixed in with the coco/rootballs after this run seems like a nice path to take though. Would help get things to being a little more self sufficient if you aren't using bottle nutes with the coir/perlite on this grow. I'm no expert on anything, but I had a rough first grow when using nutes and since switching to building my own soil, things seem a bit more smooth with the few grows I've done.

I'll be giving them a good dose of EWC when I get home I a couple hours. So can I do the 3 part just to give them a boost till the organics break down? And yes I bought it as a complete system. I added boost a week before the flip but I guess it wasn't strong enough. I did notice a review that said the recommended doses were kinda low. Should I also add like a TBS per gallon of base? And how would I go about doing the coco with straight GH 3 part? I read of salt build up and dont want that... and I'm not home enough to give them a feeding every day.

I really do appreciate the help!

So for a SOG in 4x4 would 32 plants be too much? Or should I try and stick with 1 per square foot? If so how long before harvest should I cut my clones and veg them for? Ive got 1 ghost train haze 1 grand daddy purp and 2 grape ape that ill be taking cuts from.
