Got away from me really quick. I’m manipulating the branches down into the trellis. You might want to prepare to super crop those tall ones down to light limit height....
Pinch stem (between finger nails, gently) till it begins to collapse and easy like, bend them over to 90 deg. It may go farther and that's ok.....
How you can deal with those "too Tall" stems or branch's.
Don't sweat it! You'll get it.....Got away from me really quick. I’m manipulating the branches down into the trellis.
Thanks.
This current grow is from seed that I had grown previously and the plant was about 33 inches at week 5 of flower.I quit battling stretch with my short 7 ft michigan basement awhile ago. I keep 12 hours of lights off temps 5 degrees warmer at canopy than the temps when its 12 hours of lights on. The first 14 to 21 days of 12 - 12. Then once the stretch period is over and they start bud set its back to normal canopy temps lights on and off. None of my cultivars stretch very much at all using this old greenhouse veggie growers trick. The temperature differential. Works everytime. I use a bunch of double ended Gavita HPS fixtures. And I cant let any of my strains get over 30 inches not including the pot height (about a foot). DE Hps will burn my canopy if I dont keep it short as I can. If I ever move from my present spot...I will never rent a house that has any room or basement lower than 8 feet.
BlumatsWhat kind of watering system is that. I was looking for one and couldn't find any.
thanks
I bought mine off of amazon.thanks
Bro, thank you very much.Looks good to me. From yer photos. Thing with the water/feeds is to keep everything very consistent.Especially pH. Keep it 5.8 to 6.2 for coco coir or rockwool and on the high side of that for peat based mixes. Amd I noticed your using Blumats. You don't really get runoff with those unlesz you do it manually or with a water wand every week or so. What I would do with that setup is keep your EC total (of base nutrient) at 1.2 to 1.4 (600 to 700 ppm). But you look ok from the photos you posted. Just keep the pH and EC consistent in the tank that the Blumats come from. Check it often. Even in non recovery tanks your tap water (if yiur using tap water) hardness buffer can raise your pH from what you initially set your target at. Just by it setting and over time as the level goes down. So check it and you might see that you have to add small amounts of pH down to keep it in the 6.0 range sweet spot. Again..consistency is key here.
