week 5 buds seem tiny

so im coming up on week 5 flowering (I didnt start to count flowering until she showed sex) and her buds seem tiny, I been feeding her 18-24-16 rose ferts it worked great last grow, my last grow the plant grew soda can sized buds with the rose ferts but this time the flowers seem very small they smell amazingly skunky but shes not putting on much weight. she is under 150 watt hps with two extra cfls shes in a 3 gallon pot. shes under 12/12 lighting im very confused.
strain is northern lights special. she stopped stretching at the start of week 4 anything I can do to get her to put on some weight or Is it just a waiting game at this point? Screenshot_2016-06-27-22-55-53.png Screenshot_2016-06-27-22-55-47.png

Big sativa in small pot = tiny buds
Big sativa with 150w light = tiny buds
The plant looks like it has/had some sort of deficiency/tox or lockout, anything odd going on that you've noticed?
the plant has been pretty happy its whole life I started her out in the pot shes in.. and apparently shes indica im not to sure tho she has been under the hps her whole life so maybe that's why she is so lanky? but shes been a pretty happy plant id say, i feed her every two weeks and water when the pot gets lighter..

this Is only my second time growing a mj plant so im not sure whats going on with her really.. I do plan on getting a bigger light and a grow tent when I get paid but that wont be for another 2-3 weeks or so.

If it's any help this is mine at 2 weeks and 5 days into flower....

Can't say how big they should be but mine appear to be the same so I'm guessing normal

My first time around but following a lot of instruction online

Do you know what might be causing the yellowing on the left side of the picture?

I'd say it's a waiting game at this point but there is a slight indication there she is either had too much or too little of something.

That strain is showing STRONG SATIVA DOMINANCE not Indica. Look at the long slender leaves and stretchy branches. To me and hopefully others that screams Sativa. :) How many gallons is the pot? I mean with the buds being that small, you can attempt to transplant to a bigger pot, I know it's late. Looking at those buds tho man, if i seen the plant without you saying that's 5 weeks, id say you just flipped the lights to 12/12.

you feed once every two weeks?!? What medium are you growing in, what kind of water do you use?
I was going to ask the same questions as him. Do you PH your water? How much Rose Fertilizer do you mix in with your water before feeding. Do you let your water dechlorinate overnight or for a couple days?

Not to sound offensive, but if that were my plant at week 5 i'd chop it to make room for a bigger/better plant. Growing is always a trial and error learning game. Not always, but you learn by doing and your experiences with your past grows. Bigger pot = bigger yield. 10 gallon storage totes from Walmart :)

Nope, its sativa and a heavy one at that. You vegged it out a little and flowered in the same pot and that will make her want to go all jack the beanstalk and shit with 150watts.

Can you tell me how you've fed? Soil taking longer to dry?How much do you feed? It looks like it got deficient, then you tried to correct it by feeding but accidentally fed it too much? You should try feeding less once or twice a week with 30% run-off instead of once every 2 weeks especially since your soil is probably high and dry by now.

wow alright I left my computer for like 20 minutes now I have a ton of questions to answer. first im growing in miracle grow potting soil,i might have over fed her at one point may be the cause of the yellow leaves, the pot is about maybe 3 gallons, I don't ph my water yet lol I will if I get more into growing, and I use straight tap water which comes out at about 5.7 5.8 ph I tested it when I was breeding tropical fish a while back im assuming it should be about the same? I usually mix 1tbsp of rose food to 1 gallon of water, I hope I answered all of your questions

i mean any yield is a good yield because i just smoked my last nug yesterday haha, i have an ak49 auto growing right now aswell i know it shouldn't be under 12/12 but i don't have anywhere else to put it since hail destroyed my green house. the ak seems to be doing great, happy little seedling i put her like 10 inches away from the light so she doesn't stretch.

that ph is too low for soil and this late into flower... SO you aren't that serious about growing,No wonder your buds are so small lol
You didn't answer my other question, You only feed once every 2 weeks? By the looks of it you are probably underfeeding the plant:cry:

Well i wasn't to sure how often to feed because its rose food. why how often should i be feeding her?

during flower, the plant needs more food to produce those nice lush buds and trichomes:weed:
I don't grow in soil, so I can't say how many times you should feed. Once a week is probably the minimum, you might need more nutes then just rose

Well see i was confused because my last plant was indica and i never fed her anything and she had dense soda can sized buds... maybe because i had cow manure mixed with the soil? :/ im such a noob at this haha i can grow the nicest strongest tomatoes but i cant figure out cannabis FAIL haha

she has good trichomes on her the buds are just not growing as fast as i was hoping she smells really good too. i wish i knew what i was doing hahaha.. i should also mention the lower buds are way thicker than the very top buds but still kinda small.

sure, she might have good trichomes. However if the buds were bigger you'd have more room for even more trichomes haha
The plant is underdeveloped, but there is hope! Look up a good nute schedule for soil and try to follow the instructions starting on week 4 or 5 of flower. You might be able to still fatten up the buds, after all you got another 5 weeks or so! usually the buds fatten up by the end
