week 7 sudden spidermite infection!!!

Hi all, I`ve discovered that I`ve a spider mite infestation in my :leaf:
Worse is I`ve no idea how it happened so quickly as I tend to my babies on a daily basis.
Anyway they`re there now and i`ve a bigger problem , i`m in week seven of an 8/9 week flowering strain.
I`d like to know what else to do on top of what i`m already doing.
The temperature ranges from max28c/min21c during day and max20c/min4c for the night.
I`ve only an extractor fan working full speed with a 15min segmental timer!
I read that spider mites explode in high humidity.
Also read that alcohol ruins the trichomes.
So far i`ve only sprayed both sides of the leaves with non bio soap( making sure i stayed away from the buds).
I also removed as many webs and killed as many as i could see. futile effort i know but times are desperate.
I`ve also raised humidity to over 90% (by sealing the room airtight and adding a big bowl of water.
I will order some Spider Mite Predator
Please advice me on the right course of action to take until i can order some predators.
(Phytoseiulus persimilis) asap, is 2000 enough for a 2 m2 garden?:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
Please Help!

There are many sprays that will kill spider mites. Kelthane, Malathion, Neem oil, pyrethrum based sprays.... the list goes on and on.

what if you overload the plants and grow space with co2? the co2 is only good for the plant, however the spidermites with die from too much co2 intake.?
just a thought

I haven`t got co2. also i don`t want to ruin the smoke by spraying it with chemicals.
anybody ever used natural predators? will they live much after introduction?
will they stay in my bud or die and fall off?i need to harvest in roughly 10 days, so i want to make sure it is mite and predator free before harvest! is ten days enough?

:leaf:With only 10 days to go,you really don't have much to worry about. As far as natural predators goes-I wasted a couple hundred bucks using them, and although they did knock the mites back, the mites won. Next time you get them, try a mix of neem oil and insecticidal soap, every few days till them little bastards are gone.:bigjoint:

you can make co2 with yeast and what not, so if u can mix enuff it would be a mad cheap way to do it.

co2 isn`t an option
I`ve some predators on order but won`t get them until friday.
should i start flushing or should i keep as per normal and give them the last feed then in a couple of days after the release of predators and only then start the flushing cycle over the next ten day.
ps i`m currently going through the process of hand spraying individual leaves of the plant with a 50% alcohol 50% water + a few drops of soap solution.

Hot Shot No Pest Strips kills everything no BS get'em at Home Depot.
I read in another thread those pest strips work.

I used a product called "Don't bug me", which is pyrethrum based. It is poison, but goes inactive in 24 hours. Clean the walls, floor and ceiling of your grow, your carbon filter's prefilter, and every piece of grow equipment. I noticed mine when i went to go flush the plants, about 2 weeks to chop. I sprayed the buds, leaves, stems, soil, containers. Then after a few minutes, i rinsed the plants down. I know this sounds bad, and it was really sad seeing my beautiful bud soaking, but it worked. I put an extra fan in the grow room, blowing directly on my buds, because of all the water that needed to dry. Also, i think the mites hate the wind.

You have to do it all again in 2-4 days when the eggs hatch, but there will be less of them.

i got a hot shot pest strip from home depot for $6 and it worked , i just put it in the pot of my worst plant and moved it every day now i have no mites left after about 3 days i stopped seeing them. maybe get a few and spread them around to try and get them all in 2 days?

Starting chemical warfare on them isnt an option i`ve the predators on order , i should get them by friday. i cant go dumping nukes just before i introduce my troops!
i` will take them up to 3 weeks to clear my garden or so but i will dump 2000 on a 2 m2 garden hopefully that should do the trick and clear them all within the next 12 days.

i let it go down to 13c last night and humidity shot through the roof at 94% at it`s peak!
I`m thinking of going again tomorrow with spraying individual leaves with the alcohol and water solution then an other night of humidity, then the predators should managed what i missed, and eradicate those damned spider mites.
do any of you have any more advice on weather i should feed once more then start to flush i intend to take em down within the next 10 to 14 days just enough time to let the predators do their jobs an finish of my last week and a half of flowering! rebuild those trichomes after the alcohol attack on the leaves

got my predators a day early!
i`ve the problem now that i`ve used an non bio soap and have to wait a day at least before releasing the troops into the garden.
