Week 9 Sativa Flower

Here's an update of my bagseed sativa at week 9 of flower. She really has begun to swell the past week and the Trichchomes are turning cloudy with a occasional amber one.

I'm looking for some input on how much longer until I should chop. I know Sativas can take 15 weeks or longer, but I figure it must be getting close. Maybe another week or two?

It doesn't look done to me. I would go with two weeks maybe even three. I know it's tempting but if your plant has a lot of sativa, eleven or twelve weeks would be more like the norm for sativas. Some, like neville's haze can take up to fourteen or so weeks. Hope that helps.

Being a sativa, I'd harvest with mostly cloudy, some amber, for more of a daytime smoke, or I'd do a partial harvest, say cut the top of the plants when trich is full cloudy, some amber, then let the bottom swell up a bit more, and harvest when trich is mostly amber, for a heavier (sleepy) type of stone.

best yield, let the buds swell up, all the pistils turn orange/brown .. an other week or two.

Did you take a clone ?

Yeah I was thinking of doing this, like many sativas this plant was starting new bud-sites up to 5 weeks into flower, and right now those are quite small and underdeveloped, potential 2nd harvest. :)

No Clones taken i'm ordering seeds for the next grow

Agreed. I leg my sour diesel go 12 weeks and its mind blowing. Will turn even the heavest smoker into a drooling idiot thats covered in cheeto dust.

Ha I bet, I'm probably going to chop after 11 weeks but leave a decent amount of the lower stuff to mature another 3-4 weeks.
