Week old seedlings leaves turning yellow

Hi, I'm trying a 300watt led for the first time, the light is positioned about 30 inches above the plants as per manufacturers spec. However the plants's leaves are starting to yellow in the middle, and the leaves appear to be relatively small. Any ideas, as I'm considering just going back to the HPS, which is all set up and ready to go.

I don't have any personal experience with LED panels but I believe you have yours too far away. They are all stretching pretty hard in that picture. I don't believe the yellowing is from the light situation either. What are you growing in, how often do you water and are you adding any nutes?

No nutes, growing in soil. I noticed the stretch as well, but kept the light high, as I thought I may be bleaching the leaves.

Is is just regular soil mixed with perlite? If so then I'm kind of stumped. I use fox farm ocean forest and it is loaded with nutes. But if you just have plain dirt/perlite and aren't adding any nutes I guess you shouldn't be seeing any nute issues. I could be wrong, but I really don't think it would be a nitrogen deficiency this early on. I say that because I have never seen anyone have that issue and have never experienced it myself. The last thing I can think of would be a ph issue. Where are you getting your water? Are you able to test ph?

Will check the PH, but never had problems with the water in the past. The soil id from the hydro store and has perlite mixed in. Will put under the HPS for the next 18 hour shift and see if the problem worsens/improves. This may answer the problem regarding the light. Thanks for the response.

16 inches for that light is probably the best spot (IMO). Im using LED also and she seems to be loving it there. No problems with stretching or yellowing of the leaves. You might want to move it down just a little :)

Cheers, I've moved the light to about 18 inches, and will give its next shift at this range with the 300 watt led. All of the plants are showing symptoms of the yellow leaves, starting in the middle of the first pair and then spreading outwards. Got me stumped.

All the seedlings afflicted now, and no progress in growth over night. Any ideas, never seen this type of damage before.

Moved under HPS to see if situaton improves as still in first 2 weeks, can't give any nutes, but no new leaves are developing. Think I've fucked it, but no idea how, will see if the pot dry out a little more and then try some cal-mag, as I'm out of ideas.

Gave them weak nutes with cal-mag and the problem has not improved. The seedlings growth has screeched to a halt, and the new leaves which are taking an age to come through, are cmoing through yellow. Tried an epsom salt foliar feed, but I honestly have no idea what to do now. Anyone?
Cheers

Exactly what soil is it in?
You mentioned it is from the hydro store, but did not specify.
If it is fox farms ocean forest, it will be too hot for seedlings by itself,
and feeding it nutrients will only cause the damage to intensify.

Doubtful its a deficiency this early, I'm guessing the soil is too hot. Must use seed starting mix or u will burn the youngins, ben there done it many times.

Cheers, flushed them, the leaves are brown and withered, but new growth is coming through, so lesson learnt I think, might be able to save a couple of them. Thanks.
