Weird bud!

Well ive noticed some slight weird bud growth about 2 days ago in a couple of the colas but didnt think too much of it. today i went in an snapped a pic and this shit looks mutant! ive heard of a sativa variety "Foxtailing" but i havent seen a pic of that yet to know what it is. Im growing violator kush which is a indica dom hybrid, under a 250w hps which is about 6 inches away, still stays at 80 tho. i added a batch of nutes when this started happening... i used advanced nutes GMB, i added 1 part Grow, 2 parts Micro, 3 parts bloom because they dont need the nitrogen this far into flowering really, could the nitrogen boost have caused this growth?

it looks like its growing more than budding,those nutes must be good,just don't use as much.

i just use 6 12 6 and some cal mag and molasses when i'm in flower

that kinda looks like what my c99 is starting to do, all the buds are starting to sort of open up, but im thinking itsj ust because its goign to fill in, i hope my shit dont grow like that lol

Have there been any drastic changes in the climate where you're plants are? I'm doing a stealth cabinet grow in an unheated utility room of my house. My plants have been in flower for about 9-10 weeks when the temperature
dropped​
into the lower 20's for about 3 nights straight then went up back into the mid 50's-60's which is normal. The residual heat from the lights kept the cabinet from dropping no more than low 40's but still

a pretty big diff from 65-70's .Anyway two of my plants
foxtailed​
exactly like your pics show and that was the only thing that happened that I could think that might have caused it . Looks weird as hell though don't it.

When foxtailing is talked about with marijuana, this is what people mean.

Note the ropey sort of bud formation.
Is there any sort of light leak in your grow room? it looks to me as if your plant is trying to reveg itself.
As you said though, it could be due to the nitrogen boost, i've heard of too much N causing stretch and leggyness, but that is just rediculous.

umm alright let clarify this might change some responses ok. This is the only nug on the plant that is doing this! there are at least 9 colas on that plant and this is the only one acting out of line GOD DAMN! lol no light leaks and temperature is maintained pretty well the most i could see it flucuating is from 80 during day to around 68 at night. this has really baffled me ill go take a few more pics to show

alright these 2 pics are a little better i just went and snapped them real quick. Under closer inspection most of of the buds on the one are starting to foxtail a bit but nowhere near like this one nug on here. heres two good pics and some random nug pics enjoy:leaf:

Picture 1: Is a pic at a decent distance of my two girls, they are the same age but the one on the right is an amazing phenotype shes always been a work of art.

Picture 2: the Weird nug is from plant 1 and the huge cola beside it is plant 2 just as comparison.

bro.... what are your light cycles.. any leaking light? what it looks like to me is not enough light i think your buds are stretching or you have a RUDERALIS plant... ive had this happen a few years ago... the plant wont grow right... almost guarunteed, itll give whispy and airy bud ... i suggest chopping off the little piece thats stretched out or just starting over... with BETTER genetics

read the whole damn post the pretend you know what your talking about. Ive got other nugs on the plant that are fine the problem is just one nug thats doing its own thing. Most likely because of ntues... no light leak as ive stated if you could read. And anyone that has grew barneys farm can agree on some good genetics, hell my other girl is a work of art. Cant be perfect everytime. Read everything next time please

No clue, but they look great! Let her grow, and see what it does, Im sure it will just start to fill in in a few weeks. The only bad ganja is no ganja, and you don't have that problem so I say let nature do what she does.

Nice, If the plant wants to keep growing new buds I sure wouldnt have a problem w/ that! Its called retard strength, It knows its going to be cut down and its almost done flowering so it uses its strength to keep growing and growing. We will call this new strain...Retard Power...

bahahaha that made me laugh. im gonna let her do her thing as long as i can and see what happens but im a little short on time we'll see :) i still have 3 weeks so hopefully shes further along then

i agree with the other dude . i'd be excited if my plants did that.it almost looks like two more bud sites are forming at the top kola.sweet:-P
