Weird Burn. Pics. Please Help.

So, this plant is 30 days old today. It's been on a 12/12 for the last 7 days. Overall its been very healthy. Grown in a 2 gallon tub with FFOF soil. Also added about 2 tblspoons dolomite lime to the soil. No nutes added yet, just water. Was topped around day 10 and some LST to get a nice little bush. Growing under 3x42watt cfls (two 2700k and one 6500k).

Today I notice the very top of the plant has burn. It looks like the entire top node is affected. NEVER has it come in contact with the lights, so I know it's not that. I don't think it's heat burn either as it's not hot in there. I have a little fan blowing through. It's the perfect temp even right under the light.

I did water yesterday. Maybe somehow it's a patch of nutes locked in the soil that the roots just hit? I don't know. Does nute burn ever effect only the top section of a plant on the new growth?? There's nothing even remotely similar on any other part of the plant.

Please help me diagnose. This was minimal this morning, now 6hrs after I first saw it, it's definitely getting worse. Thanks-

ocean forest can be slightly hot soil for a small plant...continue to water normally and monitor the problem for a week or so...if the plant continues to grow well and doesnt get much worst you are fine the plant will adjust and the soil will weaken then dont add nutes until you see some lightening in your vegetation...if it gets worst i would triple check that it isnt dryness or heat related and then repot into a mess intense soil mix but this is unlikely you should be just fine

Just continue with water for a little bit, thats why I dont like soil, even though its easier its a little harder to calibrate food strength to me.

on second look the plant looks nice and healthy...really looks to be humidity heat related at a glance of the pictures... add some humidity with a sprayer, cant hurt and will curb this issue if it is heat/humidity

i didnt realize you were already 30 days in due to the size of plant i thought it was way earlier as i dont top...i would hit it with whatever nutes you are going to use...easy choice for beginners is the general organics go box it includes everything you will need..mix it just like the box says for a flowering plant and add that..if it is boron it will be fixed but i will say its quite odd to get a weird def like that before seeing any yellowing from nitrogen loss. also just incase your kind of a noob since first timers seem to always worry about this, your ph will almost always be fine in soil as nute lines and soil are already properly ph balanced so dont worry about that. i would add some light if your flowering as well flourescents dont do the trick you might get a quarter unless youve perfeceted your set up without an hid

Not worried about yield. I've done this a few times and had good results.
I'm using AN Big Bud and later Overdrive. I don't see boron listed on the nutrients page. Do you know if AN Big Bud will fix the def, if it is boron?

you are only using bloom boosters....its unlikely that your soil will hold enough nutes for a full grow you may want to have a full flowering line on standby..maybe im wrong but personally i always add nutes at some point and a full npk ration plus all the micro nutes not just boosters which are mainly amino acids from what i know..

yes back up ur lights a little bit on ur plant mate.
Even though it may not feel hot on the plant, it still could be. Alot of plants are diffrent and will burn/die easier and diffrent than others.

Now the plant is drooping. The whole plant.
Also, the plant has been under these lights for weeks. I've always kept the bulb that close and it's always been fine.
I think it's a deficiency. I just watered it, put it to sleep. We'll see in the morning if it's recovered at all.
