hello guys, this is my first post in this great forum so first of all let me tell you this: GOD BLESS ROLLITUP.ORG! for making every Marijuana warrior's life a bit easier to say the least, you guys rock! i started my first grow about a week ago (Critical + and Black Jack) and all my babies are looking good except one (Critical +) is looking weird and i don't know what's the problem with her, maybe some genetics but like i said this is my first grow and this is a new field i'm walking into, i purchased Jorge Cervante's Bible to help me along the way and i'm constantly researching in the web ways to improve myself in growing my babies but i never found anything related to this issue so i was hoping some of you veteran guys could help me out. 2 pics showing a healthy baby and the weird looking one. i should add that due to my inexperience i made a mistake right at the start for leaving the seeds on water and then planted them directly into the soil and maybe i should have soaked the seeds with towel paper a bit before going straight to the soil and also i may have overwatered them a bit in the beginning and left the soil a bit soggy and some of them had trouble comming up, maybe some nutrients got washed away but i covered the top with new soil to compensate (or al least try to minimize) the loss, but that issue is fixed now. I really hope you guys can help my out here 'cuz if this is some weird disease that will affect my other healthy babies i need to know ASAP. My temps are stable between 27/28C (80/82F) at day time and 21/22C (69/71F) at night, humidity lvls vary between 45% at day and 55% at night, i'm using a 400W Mh light currently at 60cm (23,6 inches) but it was 90 cm ( 35,4 in) until they came out to avoid light burns from the excess moisture in the soil in contact with the first leaves. Maybe stress from overwater and difficulties comming out made this to happen? Maybe genetics... I don't know and there's a lot of maybes... Pls help me out. I know now it was a mistake growing 2 different strains in the same room for a starter but since they are both 50%/50% Indica/Sativa maybe it will not be that hard if i pay attention. Thx in advance. Sry if there's any bad english, i'm from somewhere in europe, not worth mentioning. Keep this great forum alive. Peace

I forgot to mention but i use fountain water from the supermarket, it has the perfect Ph for them 6,17-6.78 and every time i measure it with the electronic Ph tester the lowest was 6.4 and the highest was 6.6. thx

give it a few days or so mate, your other plant is looking good so you cant be doing anything wrong.

it wont affect your other plant, what happened was some sort of stress inducing issue it will grow out of it but probably continue to be smaller than your other one

It's fine. The smallest plant in my Avatar pic is growing with its leaves all gnarled like its confused about what up and down and light and dark is. But it's doing just as good as the second biggest which is just going slow and steady, it's just got skimpier leaves, and they look like stuff is eating them, but it's just confused somehow genetically or something. Because it's been like that since birth so its not bugs, and the others aren't getting eatin. It'll be fine as long as it's doing it to itself don't stress. It may even have one of those magic mutations that makes a good strain.

Yeah your right, and i'm pretty sure it's something about genetics too, i also noticed that the weird plant has bigger hairs compared to my healthy ones, could that be a sign she will be more potent in the end? Speaking of genetics look at what this dude made by crossing a Blueberry and Amnesia Kush. Pretty awesome and sweet! :weed:View attachment 1739602gen 3.jpggen 2.jpggen 1.jpg

I love that batman color combo it's got goin on.
I'm not sure what stage your plant is at, but if it's still around the same as the picture at the begining it'll be hard to tell if it's genetically better for a while. But it could be a sign who knows. The gnarledness definately makes it different genetically, it's confused in its DNA. So it has the ability to have a mutation that will spring it forward. But that's the things about mutations, they aren't supposed to be there, so you don't know if it's going to give it a magic boost until later once it's mutation becomes a factor. And some mutations are like Fat resin glands and stuff. So it could take until flowers are showing to even be noticable.

Hello again guys. I wanted to reply earlier but a major storm in the area cut off my internet. All my babies are fine including the weird looking one that made me start this thread but i have another problem with another. check these pics out. IMG_1404.jpgIMG_1396.jpgIMG_1399.jpg

She is the only one looking like this, i think it's a fungus but not sure, her growth has almost completely stoped, and she has some white spots on her leaves, so i'm asking again help from the experienced guys if you can help me indentify this problem before anything serious happens. As you can see my healthy babies are much bigger and these pics were taken 4 days ago. They are much bigger now. I was going to take some pics today but my sister took my cam to a party for the weekend. :-| IMG_1394.jpgIMG_1393.jpgIMG_1392.jpgIMG_1391.jpg I have both anti fungus and anti pests ready for action but i don't want to make any mistakes before doing anything hasty. Help appreciated. Thx

It is kind of hard to see but I swear I see some type of white fuzz? Maybe the beginnings of some Powdery mildue? Just make sure it does not come in contact with your other plants.

yeah i'm starting to believe it's that, unfortunately. :/ i found out a pic on the web showing and took some comparison and it's quite similar. here take a look: Downy_and_Powdery_mildew_on_grape_leaf.jpg IMG_1404.jpg and the worst part is that my plant looks like it has both Mildews on it.
