Weird - seeds in one plant- How?

Hi RIU...

Look, I hate long posts too.. but for those who have the patience to read through will have my undying ... well.. how about... I'll rep+ ya.

How would I get 1 plant (out of 12)with seeds in this situation?

Strain-Bubba Kush
Harvested-9 weeks
no signs of any seeds on the plant that was beside it in the tent.

More in depth info:

Ok, I have been growing for a while - so this isn't my first harvest, I know all my plants were female...I have harvested them all.. (some were a first round with them- but all female)
I have several strains growing and that I have grown.. But
I had a Bubba Kush that has seeds... so far out of what I've smoked -about 10.
It was growing right beside a strawberry cough, and there's not a seed to be found in any of the 12 plants I harvested except the kush.
I haven't seen a "banana" before on a plant, but there are a few (seriously 2-3) bright yellow stamen looking things on a few buds that look out of place- but there's no seeds in those particular buds..
It's not riddled with seeds either-get one every once in a while.. and the majority are mature seeds, only a couple white ones so far.

This plant was on the inside corner of a smaller tent, and the larger tent has never had an issue.
Both tents are located in the same room.
Harvested at 9 weeks flowering.

How would that happen?

Did it Hermie on me?
I don't sell my weed, I smoke it.. so I know that NONE of the bud I've ever grown has hermied on me before.. but if the Kush hermied wouldn't it have pollinated more than just itself? The strawberry cough was growing right into the kush plant.. and it's got none... (I wish it did... man that would be some smoke!).

Pollination from other source?
Again, wouldn't more than just the one plant - in the back corner- have been pollinated?

Went too long and hermied- self pollinated.
Bubba Kush... harvested at 9 weeks is early if anything.. but trying to get a perpetual going again and establish time lines.

Was in the same res bucket as the strawberry coughs... I'm just trying to eliminate possible ways to get a pollinated plant... and don't know why this only happened to the one plant... can anyone shed some insight?

Thanks

The weak link maybe, i would have to say genetics, maybe the mother who put off that seed was drinking during flowering :)

Might be that in some way the kush plant was put into some stress in it's lifetime causing it to go hermie homie

I get that if it hermied... but I never saw anything indicating it did. I mean it must have.. it has seeds.

It was a feminized "freebie" so it would be more prone to hermie problems.. but still wouldn't that have pollinated more than just itself and more than 10 seeds in 2 ounces?

the same thing happened to me before.i was a bit pissed, but also glad only one plant was pollinated.
It doesn't piss me off.. makes me happy to have some more plants to be able to mess with. I just find it curious. Why only one plant would have a few seeds in it.... just don't understand how that's possible... if a plant hermied on me.. went 9 weeks.... wouldn't that potentially nail the whole crop? or at least the plants right up on it?

Thanks for the input guys...

I can accept that it must have hermied... but still doesn't help me understand - if it did hermie... why only a few seeds.. on one plant only? I thought MJ could pollinate for miles and miles outdoors... and I have great airflow... so pollen would have been spread around.

Hey Cowell! I have to say I'm not really to sure what the cause is but Iread once that sometimes a true female plant will even sometimes produce a few seeds.kinda a will to live thing I guess! Could have been b.s. but just figured I'd throw my two cents in. Hey I was thinking about ordering some strawberry cough. I have some pretty shitty anxiety and I heard it's reccomended. Is that shit pretty mellow or what?

You heard right. That's what happens to them.. but that's why I said this in my first post..

Went too long and hermied- self pollinated.

I was referring to the fact that a plant that goes too long will hermie and self pollinate.. but I only harvested at 9 weeks... so that shouldn't be the case at all. Good info to be able to pass along to people though - thanks for making a bigger point of the fact that it happens so people will know.

Strawberry cough is fantastic. If you suffer from any anxiety at all you will love this strain... not like it.. you will LOVE it. Mine are Dutch Passion.. great genetics. He sums it up pretty well....
