Weirdly shaped plant - male? (pictures)

I started three of my plants the same way in 6" pots. I started another in a plastic cup and transplanted it later. It grew much slower than the others and is shaped very oddly. Here it is...

These occur at the nodes... Is it a male?

Yeah those yellow colored "ball" things confuse me... I see yellow and instantly think female... but they aren't hairs...

that would be a boy.

never seen the cream colored balls, though. I've only seen green ones.
Positive? Should I get rid of it or wait longer? I started with 4 plants and my 3 largest are females so this isn't very disappointing I must say. More light for them! :)

You could wait maybe another day or two to be sure (those balls will get up on a stalk) but it's almost certainly male. Why risk it?:peace:

OK I'll definitely wait... as long as I'm in no risk of my females getting pollenated... the yellowness of the ball type things kinda scares me
