-----------------------------the light shop--------------------------

I would like to dedicate this thread to lighting fixtures and lighting accessories. here you can post links to good deals on lighting fixtures, bulbs, ballasts, reflectors and grow hoods etc. etc. etc.

people are always looking for a good deal, so lets share with your fellow members, such as lighting equipment at below normal cost. shops that are having sales or clearances, your finds on E-Bay.

please keep in mind that links that will be posted, will most likely be limited time offers, or while supplies last, so the link may only be good for a certain time frame. especially E-Bay items that will end by a certain time.

alright so i will kick this off with a couple of ballasts i found today for someone that has the capabilities to make them remote if needed. these are magnetic ballasts and well worth the money.

S&C, great thread idea kiss-ass- I'm planning an op in the attic (only place it will fit) and starting out from scratch on the knowledge front, so everything helps.

Thanks and thanks.

yes you can and it will work, but the problem with it, is there is no ground wire. the ground wire will protect you and your equipment if the hot wire ever becomes in contact with the metal parts around the lights. i would get a 3 wire cord with a 3 prong plug and a 4 inch round weatherproof box and a cord connector. install the connector and put the stripped end of the cord inside the box. connect the ground to the ground screw of the box. connect your light and install the cover to the box.

remember safety first.

I dont know if you can beat HTG Digital Grow house package. You get a ballast, reflector, HPS, and MH bulb, and a light timer. You can pick and match your options for an upgrade.

thats great if you want to shop there for their overpriced items. plenty of other shops to get better equipement for those prices.

He speaks true.

HTG has some items at a decent price, but you can shop around and find 95% of what they have much cheaper.

Im a new grower myself and have done a LOT of searching around for items.

The only thing Ive purchased so far from HTG was my tent, bc they had it about 60$ cheaper on ebay than on their website.

Check ebay, HTGs lights are cheaper there than on their site too.
