i was wondering as of right now i only got 5 feminized WW should i just grow one and try and turn it into a mother plant? or should i just grow it and learn alot from the grow?

Depends on how confident you feel that you will be able to grow that plant properly.
You might want to save the other 4 incase you mess up and it dies or gets really sick.
But you might want to grow all 5 if you think you can handle it
You should try cloning all 5, then when you are done flowering, you will now which plant was the best, and can use that clone as a mother plant

hmmm, interesting question.

either way works, but it is best to err on the side of caution first time around, just get your feet wet, and learn.

maybe try two, one as a mother, another to flower (space permitting).

my main concern is a complete crop failure, leaving you with no seeds or mommas for the next run.

best of luck!

why not both? take clones and let it finish its lifecycle. its a good way to get a perpetual grow started. heres a rough explanation-
start generation 1, when it is ready to flower you take 2-4 clones off of it and keep them in the veg area, by the time generation 1 is ready for harvest these plants will be ready to have 2 to 4 clones taken from them and be put into flowering. then you just repeat that cycle reducing the amount of clones as your success rate increases and when current generation size is the number of plants you want to have.

thats the thing i have never grown before so it will be my first grow. i was just gonna start with one plant. and see how i am able to grow and react to things that are happening ... i feel with more plants it might be overwhelming.. but i was interested in trying to clone... but then i think possibly i should just try one or 2 from start to finish lol so many choices i dont like it :(

this def. sounds like a good option id have to read up on cloning as well. but i think i would only stick to 2-4 clones at all times at the most cause i wanna use cfl i think. dont quote me on that even lmao but i had a design for a box set pretty good i think.

I had a 5 pack of fem seeds and have 3 left a year and a half later. I cloned and ended up flowering the mother and 4 of the best clones.

I plan to keep a seed or 2 for back up and I have a mother from the second seed I sprouted. For me I liked the learning experience from making clones.

Another thing is, how much money you have. The more plants you plan to grow the more extreme the cost is. Ive spent multiple thousands of dollars already and I just started growing 2 months ago(not even) and still havent hit flower in my first grow. I choose to go all out first time, and not regretting it, I have 29 plants right now and 28 cuttings being rooted, but I'm totally broke from spending so much on equipement

I am still in my first grow, and this is what I would recommend. Grow either 2 or 3 , but get prepared for it. Make sure you have good lighting for them. Also, make sure that you have a pH control kit, obvious must. I would say grow them, at least two and save the other seeds, just to get the experience. It is easy to do research on growing, hard to get experience. Another thing I would have to say, is make sure you have the space. The room I am growing in right now is about 6ft. tall, and one of my girls is now about 5' 8" 3 weeks into flowering. Hopefully I wont run out of space and get my project canceled. But yes, I think you should grow a couple from seed to harvest just to learn about growing in the first place.
