Wet trim ideas

I don't see why something like this wouldn't get the job done... esp with that smaller head on it. May have to have a small container of ISO ready to clean it every now and then, but "Cannabis Made" trimmers are too expensive.

I don’t think I’d try those.
Here’s what I ordered. Ordered a couple and if they don’t work out, I’ll send them back.
I’ll need a bigger dish of isopropyl!!

I trim all the fans off before I chop. Fairly large crop this year. I wouldn’t even think of using electric trimmers. It rained like MAD last weekend so I removed all the leaves 1–3 weeks early to reduce weight and increase airflow. Seem like an electric trimmer would of been a pain in the ass.

Interesting. How do you feel that the electric trimmers would have been more of a pain in the ass than scissors?
I’ve grown 100+ plants a few times and ended up hiring people to help me.

Let us know how it works out for wet trimming!.. Sometimes we do a "rough" wet trimming, and sometimes just bust the fans off.. haven't really seen a difference other than dry time.

I don't see how you can be accurate and would end up clipping buds or chewing them up as you react and jerk the trimmer back.
And it'll leave all those stems behind

I guess it might depend on structure of his buds. IDK.. might work fine for a rough wet trim... might be a disaster. But, at least he can return one, and have to other for around the house.

Give all your hires a pair of those ‘chain saws’ you posted above and turn em loose in your hundred plants and see if it works out. Not enough control and precision.

Agree. But I never cut the fan leaves tight to the stalk. its easier and quicker to nip the leaves off and leave most of the petiole. They fall off during processing.

100 plants in the past, not any more. I’ve got 7 but they’re big!
I plan on trying to use the small attachment and not coming close to the buds.
it’s for a rough wet trim only.. I figure I have to cut the stems off anyway. I might end up giving myself more work on the back end doing the fine trim.
I don’t know, we shall see, I’m going to see how it works.

there are still important chemical reactions taking place after harvest, if you can maintain the correct climate, remove fan leaves and hang. When the bud has dried and shrunk it is easy to cut at the stem of the leaf and remove it all

In the past I've dried in my bathroom with the overhead fan going nonstop to keep the smell out of the house, but after some testing last year I've come to believe that the slower drying like that afforded by hanging in my garage (as per my testing) may well produce a tastier final product
