well for saving them for a few decades you need to get conditions right. but that being said i have a friend on the other coast sending me a 5 star zipper-keeper binder that i usto keep my seeds in with plastic Baggies back in high school full of random bag seed and a few strains that are from the good old boys in upstate ny. i fully expect half or more to germinate after the 4 years they have been in storage in his attic. pot seeds are tuff as hell.

Have you every done this yourself or friend, that you have seen the results. What's been the longest storage time that you've grown from ?:-?
Personally had excellent germ rates from 3 year old seed stock stored in this manner. I still have seeds from that crop and have complete confidence they are all just fine.

Friends and I are debating over the best way to store seeds for long term. He came across some good seeds but can't grow for a while... like maybe over a year away. How would one do this properly ? Any ideas please would be greatly appreciated. :weed:
A seeds biggest enemy is: Light, Heat and Humidity so store in Fridge sealed with a desiccant and will last over 10 years.

I keep mine in the zips or tubes they came in, in an Altoids can with a little silica pack. They always crack.
I hear Walt Disney is being kept in an Cryogenic chamber. Some day there gonna bring him back to life and he's gonna make more Herbie The Love Bug movies.
