I need one of you experienced growers to help me peace a co2 system together. I dont know what all i will need.

a co2 tank, a co2 regulator valve, and a co2 test kit... or just a tank that you open and close yourself... still should get the test kit to make sure your PPM is right with it... there are other ways too... but this will yield you the best results..

good luck

so all i would need is a regulator off of a mig welder ?

the tanks n regulators are hella expensive tho!!!
i really want to grab one for my future growrooms, but low cash...

a scuba tank would work just fine right??
ive seen them be used as a refill station for the co2 tanks on paintball guns

I think you will also need a valve that opens and closes at set times to release the co2. So that you dont have to do it yourself.
Ive never used it myself but i have used a mig welder and that only releases gas when you pull the trigger.

ooooooooo..
just hook up a servo from rc cars n rig it so that it pulls the trigger on set times!!!
cheap, but a shitload of work!
what alternatives, if any, instead of a co2 or scuba tank??

i think it is called a solinoid like the spring in a starter motor that opens and closes electrically

yeah, that too
bt i think thats more expensive..

The cheapest way is to get a water bottle, fill it half full of water, add 1/5th of sugar to the water, than add a 1/5th of yeast to the water, and about 20 minutes later you will have a co2 system that is good for about 48 hours, just shake when it needs more bubbles... I tried this the other day and my plant really a seemed to enjoy it so i will continue to use this method.

Be careful not to put too much yeast in, that could lead to an overflow or your grow room just smelling entirely of yeast...:joint:

yeah, ive tried that!
the plants really like it..
n so do the bugs!!
i havent done it in a while, but i think im gna have to resort to it...

this really is not the best option, too many things can go wrong for very little C02 production.

peace

buy a tank and reg combo from HTG and get a timer, then use the co2 calculator, works like a charm, my next investment though would be a sentinel controller monitor, get read of the yeast unless your baking bread
