What am I doing wrong? She's not happy!

Hi guys,

Here again for some guidance as this site has been a wealth of information but I seem to not be grasping maintenance/feeding properly. So, I've been trying to deal with what looks like crazy nute burn from about 2 weeks ago. I have posted pictures for your review. I'm not leaning towards a magnesium def but this is my first grow on my own. It's getting a little frustrating as I am trying my best to get the feeding/flush down but I know it's a bit of an art to dial in what the plant needs. Flowering has been great and have been fattening nicely. One thing I noticed today is when I put my nose to the flowers, they smelled a bit musky, dirty sock odor. Weird? Or not?

Quit using distilled water for one, fill a jug from your tap and let it set for 24 hrs, to evaperate the chlorine, then add nutes, then PH...and what size pot you got her in??? how long til finish? if it's gona be 3-4 weeks put her gently into a 5gal pot...good luck

agree with Rinkstein... distilled water is an expense you don't have to make. Unless your tap water is like 200+ ppm's you should be good with that.
as far as for that musty odor... unless you see mold or bud rot, I would take that as a sign of the dank about to come.

LMAO...I forgot to say why, it has iron ferite, calcium, zinc and a bunch of good stuff your plant needs anyhow, and tap water usually PHes around 7.0 +/- .2, and if you don't have any PH down you can always substitute a half a tblsp of apple cider vinegar per gallon, it drops mine from 7 to 6.4, that's good enuff for me...when ur adding nutes tho this will raise or lower your PH depending on what type of nutes your using, now I use hydro up/down recommended, and most fish stores carry it, good luck man..and it don't look too bad at all..feed her..lol

Most water municipalities have been using chloramine for several years now, it doesn't evaporate. It mostly replaced chlorine due to the chlorine eating away at pipes. The whole leave your water out thing is a myth imvho.

First pic looks like bad splash burns (lower part of plant where you water, no?) and I concur that this plant is overfed. cn

I'm no pro by any means but if you ask me, flush that plant asap to get the nutes watered down. Good luck!

actually before i started using tap water i researched what was in my local water, and i read a report about how they rejected using chloramine becuase it erroded lead pipes more then chlorine did. so not all municipalities are using chloramine. If someone wants to use tap water they should check localy to see if chloramine is being used before they start using it. but it definatly is not being used everywhere
