Also, you could get a law degree and work for change from within the system. Go to your local Norml branch and find out what it is you can do to help an already established orginization instead of trying to rally a bunch of strangers on a forum. For some of us, alot of us, cannabis isn't the pinnacle of our lives. There are families, careers, and other hobbies that help make us who we are. It looks like you see drugs as the top rung of your ladder, when you grow more as a person you may realize it's just a weave in the basket of your life. Not the entire basket.
I say things like "it seems like" to mean not everyone thinks that way... but thats not the point.... lots of people do think that way... and we need to stop them from thinking that way so they give us their opinions not what they saw on the news this morning about Obamacare! (just an example)
Additionally... the reason I keep redefining what I'm saying... is because I'm trying to speak LITERALLY. Nothing I'm saying means something else.

Yes thats my point. What do you think about it? Not... do you think I'm a hypocrite? I dont CARE if you think I'm being a hypocrite. Do you THINK other people DO IT and do you THINK its stopping the advancement of OUR culture? Our culture being that of humans in general, not just stoners.

Thats not what I'm saying.... you know... deep down inside... that if everyone in the entire world experienced the things you have experienced.... in relation to marijuana and shrooms.... they would be better people. Or... you have to atleast believe... that they could help SOMEONE. And you not advocating it... because you think people who advocate are only thinking marijuana is the best thing in the world and focus on it and nothing else.
I have an entire life aswell. I work, I have hobbies, I've got a car I spend WAY more time on then talking on the forums. So dont think I just sit on forums and say these things to people... because I don't.
I'm just trying to get your opinions about what I'm saying... so I can better understand it myself.... and go from there.

Very well. I will tell you my perspective on this.
I dislike evangelists of all stripes.
I have no problem with you being an activist and pursuing that activism with all due vigor. However, when you say others SHOULD join you in advancing the cause, you cross a moral boundary that I hold dear. At that moment you lose my interest, to say nothing of my approval. If your crusade pursued by yourself, for yourself, is not good enough for you, I believe you are insufficiently (or perhaps inappropriately) committed and in for real disappointment. I cannot imagine that it would be too difficult to accept that you cannot shoehorn the wants and deeds of independent others into the corset you're willing to lace onto yourself. My opinion. cn

You do realize that advocating cannabis to other people could cost some people their careers. Life can snowball poorly after that, once scheduled debt is established and expectations from people that rely on you are thrown into shambles. I'm sure there are plenty, plenty of people here who choose their spots for advocacy.

What if my cause was a nice BBQ with some of your favorite food and people and I simply said "C'mon you old brainiac you SHOULD join us for a nice afternoon, it's going to be a grand old time"
I agree I shouldnt tell you guys to advocate anti-evangelism.... and I understand that telling you guys that is me pushing my opinions on you in itself... but why is that bad? Why is it bad to tell you about how your opinions influence the outcome.
I am against evangelists who use opinion to choose what they advocate. But I can't tell you that.... because its me disagreeing with my own opinion.

I said something to the effect of "You should say who you really are, but if you cant do to business reasons... you can not do it.. and thats fine. I agree! I see that. I see that I have led YOU SPECIFICALLY you into the wrong thought process. But thats becuase I told you something... that is part of a bigger picture... that I dont fully comprehend. And if you read my entire post... and you take notes... and you think hard... and you TRY to understand whatever the hell it is I'm saying...
SOMEONE will help me know what I'm thinking about... so I can word it differently... so I can spread my message.
