What amount of fertilizer to use?

If I'm using Shultz 10-15-10 or 2-7-7.... how much fertilizer am I supposed to be using while vegging and flowering? Also when people say "1/2 strength", what do they mean by that, because what is considered full strength? Thanks

usually there is a recommended consistancy listed on the fertilizer box or bottle. use half of the recommended consistancy.

for flowering you want to be using more than half, but when you have short seedlings you want to be using less than half. id say a quarter.

i use schultz 10 15 10 it says on the bottle 7 drops a quart i water my plants with the nute water when they dry out an inch or so down

Like was said, follow the directions and the use half the amount, if it says 2 teaspoons per gallon of water, then you use 1 teaspoon per gallon of water.

This is also part of learning what works for you. Everyone is going to have a different recommendation on what to use, when to use and how much to use. You have to take a guess based on everyone's opinion and then do what you think will work best, then fine tune it till you are happy with results. Just part of growing, figuring out what works for you and then sticking to it.

If someone starts using nutes too early they will burn or kill their seedlings by having too strong a mixture. Using half prevents that from happening.

Then as the plants get bigger you increase the nutes up to full strength or some people even try to go for the max by increasing and increasing until the start burning the plants and then back off a little. Everyone grows different and you have to find your own path of what works for you. What works for you may not work for me.

Yeah, but on the bottle it says thats for every time you water. So that would mean I should fertilize with that amount every time I water?
