What are my seedlings doing?! Mutants?

I have been growing these bag seeds for about a week now... and I can obviously tell they are not growing very well . They are growing under 4 23W CFL's. Any help would be appreciated!

could just be genetics. I'm germin some bagseed right now and there on day 5 wit out poppin so.. but uhh...how close you got your cfl's? how often are you watering? :eyesmoke:

holy hell. They look mutilated! lol PH probs caused my twisty leaves, but dayum. I think the ROOTs it right, Genetics..Maybe your soil is hell for them?

More info plz

Right now the CFL's are probably about 8-9 in. above the plants. Up until yesterday they were about 2 inches above them. So far I have been watering them about every 3 days probably...just been doing the finger test to see what the soil feels like. Still trying to get my Mary-Jane legs under me :-? I have a few seeds that were ordered but I am wary to start those while I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing. May start germin' one or two of my good seeds and just see what happens.

Yeah i figured it would be something like that. Right now I'm just using basic potting soil...nothing in it. As far as pH goes I've been meaning to get an eelctronic meter, but I'm poor haha. Which is terrible for my ladies, but that's why I'm growing bag seeds right now. Hopefully getting a meter after I get out of class today. With how they look think it's worth trying to save them?

I hear that bro. If you want move cfl's back and jus grow it out. What kinda soil you using

Man, not to offend anyone but those plants seriously look like they have some kind of disease or downsyndrome. I've never seen seedlings do that, and i've had quite a few seedlings. I'd start over if it's possible, you dont wana nurse a plant with bad genetics, not worth your time. you can start over and you'd really only lose a week or so, if you keep going with those you may or may not regret it. goodluck either way! also... check out "ducksfoot" it's a MJ plant with strange shaped leaves (not like yours) but that could possibly be something like what's going on with your plant, just my 2 cents!

You can get a cheapo soil test kit for $7
and it's accurate

that soil looks pretty wet dude. next time mix in like 30 % or more perlite for seedlings and get the soil moist, not wet.the twist is usually genetic. Any blueberry line for example. Ph would be giving you more problems than mutant traits-your shit would be yellow and burnt from ph lockout. Also, with bagseed- you have to wonder why there are seeds in your bag weed?..Usually not a good sign. Its possible there was a male left in the garden which pollinated the female but a more likely scenario is those came from a herm and are worthless.Order some solid seeds online.

Well I have watered them a few times with normal water and they are looking quite a bit healthier. One has two tops growing haha, it's great. Leaves still look a little off though. Gentics? I suppose.

genetics dude-not ph. theyll grow out of it

One of my current plants looks exactly like that. short rounded/ swirly leaves. It seems to be growing lop-sided, big fan leaves on one side and short little ones on the other.

that is caused by light stress your lights are to strong for the little ones either move light further away, then gradually bring it closer, or find shade in your grow room and put it there, untill the little ones get used to the light

Lol...light stress?? Sorry bro-this has nothing to do with light stress. those traits are genetic. A number of strains will have the "twist" as its called, Blueberry being the most well known. If the light(s) are too close, they will burn the leaves. Too far, and the plant will stretch..Educate yourself bro before you start throwing out nonsense. It doesnt help people out who are trying to learn like yourself.
