What are the laws about growing 6 plants outdoor? Am I crazy ?

My Girlfriend has a 7 year old son that is not allowed anywhere in my garage lol. This is what my 2 car garage looks like when you walk into it from the house:


Veg Room on right (Padlocked at all times) Flower Room on left (Padlocked at all times)... I see him trying to peek when I enter the garage and go into these rooms... I know I can't keep it from him forever, but we are very clean about it and nothing is in sight or left around at any time. When I went to the doctor I think I got gipped because on his price list it said "Additional plant recommendation $10" lol.. Of course I went for it haha. As far as the legality goes.. I'm really not sure. I just know to stay the "F" away from the 100 plant count. My card states I can have "99" plants. If everything (legal side of things) is based off of plant count, I think I'll just veg longer in big pots for the same yield as opposed to doing SoG type stuff.

Riverside ! Second if not third time riverside pd has been respectful of real medical grows with recs from peoples accounts. Not sure about LA ... from an activism standpoint it is a go for it but you know the law dogs could make you sorry you ever considered it... Theyre laws are bullshit all the while.
