What Ballast should i buy??? ( HELP PLZ)

ok i beein lookin into buyin a 250 watt HPS or MH but i noticed that some ballasts have volts like 120, 208, 240 & 277 n some juss 420 volt wich should i buy for a 250 watt HPS and do u guys know where i can buy a cooltube??

Multi voltage ballasts are preferred just for the versatility but you only need whatever voltage unit matches the voltage in your house.

lol hey im buying my 250 watt HPS for 12 bucks n my ballast for 58$- so ii should be fine with a 400 volt??? n volts are what??? limiting facotors on how much the HPS uses???n thnx u guys rep all around

the voltage dictates the type of plug you put into the outlet. Only the 120's will fit into American sockets.

120 if you live in the US,
240 if you live in the UK or Europe.

I've never heard of any country that uses more than 240v on its mains, perhaps that is off grid applications where the higher voltage allows for thinner wires to carry the electricity.
