What could of done this do my soil bag and why ?

went down to spot today to tend to my plants and saw this...
Any thoughts or reasons why something would do this ?

Ugh hope not emptied bags when transplanting today anyway so

Who knows? I'm just guessing. They looked about the right size for a mouse.

Looks like exit wounds , also discoloration in the plastic where it was stretched very good question , mice and think would leave the edges more in a chewed up maybe small pieces around.

This is In middle of woods 15 minute trek of main road. No kids ha

the side of my barn has wood peckers (hee-hee I said pecker) f'in holes everywhere in certain areas, they are looking for bugs, or in my case carpenter bee larvae.

A lot of critters will dig into soils enhanced with bone meal or blood meal looking for scraps.
