Yeah it's cheap haha but works wonders and u can be pretty heavy with it without damaging ur plants so if u accidentally add to much one time it'll be okayAt £1.45 for 100g bought some Epsom salts too.![]()

Sounds like a good idea just be carefulLegend!! For now, while the salts arrive, do you reckon I just up my dose of gold lable mg with my next feed which is probs due tonight?
Thank you![]()

Plant's pretty small, you sure you're not over feeding?
Ph?
Medium?
Ppm?
Epsom salts is Magnesium Sulphate, it'll likely make a calcium deficiency worse.
I’ll be honest, I’m not sure. I defo don’t think I’ve over fed as used min dosage on the back of the gold lable bottle and I just follow their little booklet / schedule (to a certain extent)
Never had a prob before just going by what the bottle says. I do have a blue baton but last feed I didn’t check EC / ppm (my bad) but everytime in the past from mixing up what it says on the bottle EC has been fine.
Medium: coco with rhizo and perlite.
Ph I think is about 6.8. My local shop told me not to worry too much about Ph as the water is good in the area.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.![]()
Hydroponic nutrients? I'd ph the solution for sure.
Wouldn't expect that plant to need more than about 0.6 - 1.0ec right now. I'd check the ec next feed.
The coco is washed, and buffered properly?
Did you buy bagged or block form?
Have any calmag? I dare say you'll probably need it.
Next feed check the ec of your waste. Coir can be really salty sometimes, especially if bought in block form.
If it's salty coir that'd explain the problem.
For example if you fed at 1.0ec, but your waste was reading well over. Happens pretty often.
Thanks for the quick reply dude.
Yes, block coco, the Ugro stuff I think it’s called with a rhizo in it already. I didn’t wash it, no, I just put it in a bucket with some water which had been sat for 24hr and let it expand, mixed with perlite and then potted.
I use the gold lable stuff, so A&B, Mg and green planet Aussie tonic for roots (never used it before) but I have had good results with their Dense and Bud Booster, so thought I’d give it a try as the Growers Ark root tonic I have mostly used, is expensive at 5ml per L so thought I’d try the Aussie tonic.
Going a bit off track there, haha, would you say to feed now even though medium still damp and rest run off EC?
I was hoping they’d perk up after transplant and wasn’t going to feed again till medium was dry.
My last feed, just after transplant to medium pots, was just what the gold lable booklet said to add, which every other time I have tested, at this stage, has been around 1.0 EC.
Thanks for the help buddy and any more advice would be much appreciated?
Ps. The nutes are gold lable coco stuff.
Next feed measure the ec of your feed. Then measure the ec of the waste and compare.
Don't do anything drastic in the meantime since you've just transplanted.
I'd really consider buying some calmag as well. It's likely the quickest fix if the EC checks out.
The alternative is likely some lime, maybe some Epsom salts too.
Just test your waste first.
