What did I do wrong with this dmt extraction?

Okay, something is wrong.
I am going to try and figure something out over time how to make myself some.
I re did the procedure and thought it was correct, yet absolutely no yeild.

Pulled the naptha four times, even tried again by shaking violently and waiting a day to do the pull.
Then I froze the jars for 24 hours in a deep freezer.
Filtered and.. Nothing..
Haha this is trial and error I'm really excited to figure this one out.

Thinking about taking a chem class on Khan Academy or something. Probably should so I know the mechanics better.

A chem class is probably a good idea. Without seeing what you're doing it's hard to say. Look up how to do a liquid liquid extraction on youtube for the procedure.
How long have you been letting it soak in the aqueous mix? Time helps pull stuff out.

The night I posted this was when it was all mixed.

I'll leave it aside and get into gear with chem. I'll definitely watch the video when I get off work. Thanks duck. I always try to learn off you and probably bug ya with my constant questions but I think it'd be just.. So much more rational to get my hands a little dirty and learn for myself.
Either way you're always a great help and really kind

Concentrate the naphtha and then freeze it to see if there is anything present. But I am wondering about the bark.

The tek I read said to freeze for 3 days atleast, so maybe let it freeze until you see something precipitate? Thats what i did, my problem was i didnt concentrate the naptha and then i had a hard time getting the crystals out of the jar, stuck to the bottom.

Get a little Pyrex with a cover for the freez, makes scraping a lot easier..

Yeah, i figured that out a little to late. And cant afford to fail again or spend the money on that bark, expensive stuff. So getting practice with cheaper plants right now. I think a more flat pyrex dish and allowing the naptha to evaporate some before freezing, will help the out come a huge amount next time around.

Still have yet to try it, I gave up on my first extraction, was doing it in a freezing garage with really stiff gloves, and spilled some of it while the non-polar and sodium hydroxide were mixed, not fun. And then the problems mentioned above. Gave up, but its in the future plans. Have alot more experience now.
