what did ur first grow consist of?

My first grow was under regular fluorescents in my dorm closet at college, like 20 years ago. I remember I used Miracle Grow fertilizer and some bagged potting soil from Home Depot, plants from bagseed. I'd probably think it was pretty shitty if I saw the setup now, but my buds and I got high on weekends for a couple months. Oh, the days of just getting baked on weekends...

my first grow consisted of me getting sick of the seeds i had saved up over the years and planting most of them, kept 6 plants, then i accidentally killed 4 of those later on. i started with 2 big ass CFLs, and had 9 big ass CFLs by the end of it. was an indoor grow that began with soil from my yard and garbage nutes from somewhere.
of course all that has changed over the years as more and more is learned, btw that sunsystem 150w hps is a great lamp for beginners. extremely easy to manage and control.

My first grow I had a 400 watt and Fox farm big bloom, grow big and ocean forest soil and a closet hehehehe 
edit: oh yeah purple power and afghan mazer seeds and yes sleeping with the light cycle was always fun hahaha in my 1 bedroom apt

I had grown before, in college, but my first indoor grow started with a 4' floro fixture and 15 plants from some bag seed we had, just to see what I could do, 'cuz I was tired of chasing down a dealer, and inconsistent quality. It also started in the spare bedroom closet. After I hit the forums, I quickly scrounged up 4 400w MH high bay commercial lights, and adapted them to remote ballast. Then, the plants got bigger, and the grow spilled out of the closet and into the room. Before I knew what happened, I had taken over the whole room, and partitioned off a clone/veg area and a flowering area. I had also acquired 4 more 400w HPS and 8 1K lights as well, all reworked commercial lights.

My first grow I had a 400 hps. I used 5 gallon buckets, 2 blue widow and two blue mystic clones. I didn't really know what I was doing. One plant turned hermie and another got so much powdery mildew I trashed it. So I had a 50% success rate. Its true you learn from your mistakes and learn as you go. Now its smooth sailing and top shelf buds. There is nothing like the excitement of your first harvest. Like a kid on Christmas.

IDK actually lol. I asked the hydro store people and they said either way. Ive seen it run both ways but more sucking then pushing...working so far. knock on wood
