What did you accomplish today?

Was a little late to my 2 week post op follow-up at the Dr's. He said he had to remove a bit more bone in my back than planned to get all the cycts out of there, said there was about 5 of them. Cysts on nerve roots isn't a comfortable thing. Said I need to limit what I do for another month then I can get PT if I choose. At least I made it home prior to the procession they had for a cop killed in the line of duty. He was a swat guy serving a warrant for international drug smuggling and things went south. He was only a cop 2 years, ex Army, it sucks.

Huh cool. What kind of rootstock and what zone are you?
I'm not certain of the rootstock as it was a claim of the nursery, and didn't think to ask. We're in zone 6b. Apparently the dwarfing rootstock keeps the trees smaller and they mature faster, so they'll provide fruit at a younger age. I'm told that the staking is done to trick the tree into thinking it's already established, therefore putting energy into fruit producing branches vs growth wood. At $30ea I'm excited to see what happens.

They mentioned that if clones were taken during pruning, it'd be 7 to 10 years before the tree would be mature enough to produce fruit. Didn't ask how old these trees were.

Dropped my car off to get the fuel level sensor replaced and the drivers door handle fixed. I've had to use the odometer to make sure I didn't run out of gas, couldn't trust the gauge. The bill isn't as bad as I thought it would be at least.
