Another change...

Bye bye grow bags, hello 2g plastic pots. Pretty good deal at HD. For 10 it's $29, or for a 20 pack it's $30 .

The bags just dry out too quick on coco.

I can get 12 10gal fabric pots for that price.

I had 10g and 7g fabric pots for the garden outside this year and over half of them ripped when inverting to clean the soil out....not as long lived as I'd have thought. Granted sun/uv exposure probably is the worst. Dumped most of the soil out into a metal raised bed instead.
I have several fabric pots, ranging from 10gal up to 20, haven't had issues yet, been reusing them for a bit now

To much air or what curious minds need to know please
Well this is my 1st time doing coco and drain to waste, as you know....Everything I read, and saw was people using the 2g plastic pots. (mostly)

But of course I had to try myself....Bigger is always better, right?? lol. So I did a few in 2 gallon plastic, a few in 3 gallon fabric, and the rest in 5 gallon fabric. Well the bigger pots dry out quicker, use a lot more nutrients, and aren't any bigger. And it's humid season now...winter will be even worse.

I guess when I harvest will be the true test, seeing if those bigger pots produce any more bud, but so far it's not looking that way, and I'm 6 weeks from flipping/5th weeks of flower.

I'm also hoping to keep the next bunch a lot smaller!!

Yeah I know very little about coco, I dont use it..

I use compost and make my own peat based organic soils.
Just learning coco myself...

I was making my own soil too, but it just got to be too much work, so giving coco a try. It's actually considered hydroponic. But yeah the fabric bags are great for what you are doing. I always turned them inside out and ran them through the washing machine between runs and most are still like new.

Got the wife's table ready for clear. Black Walnut table for her Office in here. Now time for leg's on it but not sure what will look good any idea's easy one's. Just putting 4 leg's won't work wife don't like it. Heart of Dixie
Blackened rolled steel. It has a crisp edge and the dark would look great with the walnut. You can use heat and oil like you would a cast iron pan. Or an acid to get the color.

Taco Sunday. Everything is made from scratch except the tortillas. I even canned some sauce so I don’t have to send all damn day in the kitchen. View attachment 5315812
Actually I usually make enough for six or seven meals at a time especially when my tomatoes are producing heavy.
I have a bunch of Roma's, stop by and I'll give you a bag full.

Thanks for the offer but mine are keeping me and my family flush . Only four plants but they have been really productive, this has been my best roma crop ever but the celebrity’s their not having the best of years. I’m getting enough of the celebrities to have a few sandwiches and fried green tomatoes about three times a week so I think I’ll survive haha.
