What do i add to this soil.. need better drainage

I have 2 cubic ft of garden soil.. it is way too thick, clumpy, dense and does not drain for shit..

I was curious as to what Ican add to make this soil better suit my needs... Iwas thinking about adding 1 cubic ft of regular potting soil to it as well as perlite and vermacill... what do you think??I want to be able to purchase this from home depot..

They sell something that's made for breaking down clay.. does bagged garden soil typically contain clay? It is very thick an compact is that due to clay?

This is for a outdoor grow and this soil mix will be what I use in the
bottom portion of theDEEP holes
I dig an will probably just use regular
potting/perlite on the top..

If you were in my situation what would you add to make this garden soil suitable for growing?? Btw it is miracle gro brand.. I know there's MG haters but I wanted u to know what I'm workin with so u can give a more informative answer

Perlite.

Try 70/30 or 60/40 soil/perlite.

Next time buy a quality pre ammended soil like FFOF.

It's too early for me to be sarcastic.... Perlite or some sort of lava rock. One of the most basic answers when it comes to our field.

That's what I was assuming.. and Ihave used fox farm on previous grows.. it works great Ilove it.. but Ifeel its not worth $30 a bag.. Ihave several grow under my belt indoor an outdoor.. Ijus never in my life expierenced with garden soil and I already had it in shed from roommate growing tomato plants in the past.. so I was thinkin bout putting it to use just need to thin it out.. but imo don't get me wrong fox farm is great id use it every grow if Icould afford 30$ a bag for 1-2plants when I'm growing 20 plants or more.. but I jus don't have money to throw away like that when I get same results using scotts potting soil for perlite added... everyons answer to soil problems is ff or junk.. not true.

I was jus thinkin if Icould find a way to get the room back its takin up in shed n benefit from it at same time... I love the smell of ffof tho lol.. my next indoor grow which is coming up if I had the money to spare I use it but if I'm tight I get same results with scottsn perlite.

I was under the impression u were telling meu can reuse soil then waiting for me to say oh really?? Cuz dude we both know u can re use soil its still soil but its highly not recommended with the salt build up and old roots.. so imo I'm not going to re use.. plus the plants sucked out w.e organic nutes ff puts in them.. .. n like I said I'm not here to have a pissing match.. this is a forum were here to help eachother so I'm not going to stoop to ur level.. the only reason I said that is because I thought u were being sarcastic.. and if u grew that with reused soil which I'm totally sure its possible more power to you.. I re use my soil as well. I don't know in which way you grow, bottled nutrients or organically, but re using your soil is a super cheap, and great way to grow plants. Foxfarm soil is good too though

I'm using bagseed this season.. like forreal it might not have a strain given name.. but imo if its well taken care of and is not pollenated it comes out fuckin insane sometimes.. ppl knock bagseed.. IDONT .. shit uu can even name it urself haha.. u invented that shit..

I stopped reading this a while ago but if it hasn't been mentioned most of us add more pearlite to bagged topsoil.

Reusing soil is not bad in any way if you know how to re amend it.
People develope a soil you can not buy in a store by doing so

Google no till method head to the organic
section and read if you have any interest.

No,no you did not invent it.Even when you pollen chuck you did not invent it.Only when you.do.real breedung working a cross down many fillial generations can you say it is yours and better yet,when you cross two.unrelated landrace varieties and work it throgh multiple filial generations.

But well see ill figure out what immado wen its time to move em outside in a month.. hopefully theyturn into monster.. there a week out now ill probably move em outside no later then june 1st maybe mid late may.. so they'll have about 2 months maybe more veg from seed indoor then june-august outdoor..
