What do u think gives off more heat?

I just ordered a 150w hps sun system. I have been using 10 x 26w 2700k cfls.

As a whole, what do you think gives off more heat the 150w hps for the 10 cfls?

I'd say the 150w hps but not 100% on that

Hmm clfs give off little heat, but 10 of those bad boys could add up. I woulf think it would be nearly balanced.

Cant wait to find out.. I still think the hps will be way better for my girls.

yea, i have been getting that a lot. cant wait to get it. Ordered it yesterday and had a dream about it last night. Waiting a week for it to get delivered is going to kill me.

i have the floralux mini. It comes with a glass insert to keep some heat away from the plant. Plus it can be air-cooled. Dunno if the sunsytem can. But i'm please with the floralux

no prob, i keep mine about 6" away from the tops. Could go lower i guess but i think that'd be pushing it. I need to get a duct fan to put on it, even without a fan it only goes up to like 84

my 400w HPS puts off less heat then the 4 cfl's in my grow cab. the hps by itself the temps stay about 75-78f...with the cfl's on it goes up to 81-85f. since in switched over to HPS my temps have dropped by at least 10 degrees. those that preach that cfls run cooler must only be using one. the design alone is a flaw. the spirals of the bulb keeps heat trapped inside itself.
