What you should have asked is if he was vegging intill the plant became a certain height/# of nodes ect... As I've stated cfls have slow growth on plants, so if he used the HPS right now, the plant would grow fast, saving him time on growth, headaches, and picking up more lights that will be replaced eventually by the HPS anyways...

Veg in the cup until the fan leaves fan leaves lap over the side of the cup and then transplant I always like the idea of 5 gal when in soil. I would put that 600 on em now about 24 inches above the plants and get a very slight breeze running between the tops and the light. Just don't mist your leaves when the light is on. I have started plants just like you are several times and that 600 will cut growth time down dramatically.

I'm not good with the social media shit. I totally would of gotten that joke in person but I take shit literal when I can't see a person.

Anyways thanks for the help man.

U say u got exp with autos, u mean auto flowering? I don't know much about them other than they exist and I assume it just means there's no veg stage. Which I also assume means faster harvest. Again I haven't done my homework yet but I was thinking to get them when I get seeds next.

Autoflowers, yes :)

Very little veg, they flower with very little veg..... Mostly for people with height restrictions and fast turn around.. I have some blue mystic auto from Nirvana.. They're ready in 52-64 days... Seed to harvest :)

For the record, you're asking a question to which you already have the answer too. No one has the same grow room, so yeah you can take advice, and do what other people do, but in reality you gotta find out what's best for you and your environment. I answered your question, if you wanna do it. Do it!! Alot of people veg with HPS. If you wanna try it out, go for it!!
