Good setup or not worth it? I am looking to upgrade my 150 w hps I have now...
How would I go about cooling this thing, given the hood it has? All for $120...

Vent well and have a fan blowing over the plants or up at the light itself, it'll keep it alright. GL

What is the difference between this and the conversion one, other than the obvious ability to use a mh bulb? Is there a difference in the ballast?

i think the pp was referring to getting an mh conv bulb in the package. not a normal one.

yes, you get an HPS ballast with a MH conv that can be used in that setup, HTG sells the whole package for like 160$ 2 bulbs and timer, if you upgrade i believe its like 35$more for a 6in easycool hood, you can cool that perfectly with a 6in 160cfm duct fan-$25
