what do you suggest?

i want to buy a hid lamp for my closet, i will never grow more than four plants and heat might be an issue but most likely its got enough room so it wont get that hot, its an average size closet, dont know the dimension. its probably like 8 feet high 2 or 3 feet deep and about 3 feet wide. basically i want to know what the best lighting would be for such a setup while keeping heat down to a minimum

if you run even a low w hps then you will need ventilation.. led lights give off very low heat levels...and are gr8 for vegging but you will need a hps for flowering..make it a 400 and you'll have fat buds....but first put a fan or 2 in there

well...if i had to vent i could probably do it into a wall or something i will have fans of course which will cool plants but overall temps might be a little high, ive never used hid im stepping up from cfl which will probably still be side lighting. what kind of temps can i expect from a 400w digital ballast

i got an old magnetic ballast it aint that bad dont know about digital

i think the like 6 cfls i have in there will generate more heat than the one hps cfls arent supposed to get very hot...but mine do get pretty warm.
