What do you think about these lights?

Hello all, I am looking to purchase some lights and wonder what you think of this one for a 4x4 grow space? At least I can purchase this one locally and it seems to have all I need. Any input on this? The spectrum looks good for flower and veg and the unit will provide 30watts per square foot. It also has IR and UV.

looks like a rebranded china light. decent-good lights by most accounts (if you go with a reputable supplier- i went with meiju, have seen good reviews on kingbrite. check the led forum for more on suppliers), just got a few in today myself to test out. imo you would be better off going straight to the source- you will get the same product for a third of what the site in your link is charging. shipping time will obviously be longer, mine took 16 days from payment received to boxes on my porch. it pretty much boils down to pay the here and now tax or save a fair bit of loot and wait a couple weeks

Thanks bud, I appreciate it. I did the pricing, this same light is on Alibaba and after shipping came to only $100 less. It even has the exact same product pics, lol. The advantage to spending the extra $100 is I can go to this place in 30 to 45 min and stand in front of an actual person instead of dealing with over seas. The other concern is that $100 might disappear if they charge me import fees which happens sometimes and not others. I also looked at the SF4000 which is another Chinese light but seems to be pretty good. I will decide when I get back from holidays which way to go. Thanks again for your response.

Looks like a Meijiu light but almost $300 more expensive
Not really, I think some are missing the Ca/US conversion. That light is actually sold under Kingbrite on Alibaba, even has the same product pics. https://kingbriteled.en.alibaba.com/productgrouplist-813963012/480W_LM301H_CREE_XP_E2_660nm_730nm_LG_UV.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.41413.3.38d91dbcO5VSbX&scene=all&language=english . It sells for $354 US so to compare that is 468.95 Cad, than tack on the $125 they want to ship and it comes to $594 Cad compared to $742 for the one in my link. I just got an email back from Growlights.ca and they stated their lights are ETL and UL approved which the Kingbrites are not. Now that is from a sales guy so I emailed back asking if they logos are actually on the light if they are approved. There could also be duty to pay when they come into Canada so that would eat up part of that $150 difference. The place selling them is only a little over 30 min from me as well so I can easily get in front of a person to deal with any issues rather than doing it by email with someone over seas. Anyway just looking at alternatives and also hoping to buy local, with these guys I am supporting a Canadian business so that is also a factor. Thanks for you input.

Interesting, so the Kingbrite listed light is also sold by Meijiu for $100 less US. I guess the big difference is Growlighta.ca has them ETL and UL certified and they are a local Canadian company. Price aside, what about the light itself? Spec wise it looks good.

I'd feel safer giving any country BUT China my info to order anything off alibaba. Some days i get called already from Asian recordings. Whats to stop them from just giving your info to anyone? And what exactly could you do about it if they did? and bk78 i think you need some better weed or something every post you post you seem to have something up your ass.

What’s to stop the USA from doing the same?

They have good support and ship fast, free shipping, I haven’t bought led from there but I have grabbed hids and supplies over the years. I would agree and pay the little extra to keep it local if the end product is the same. Duty is a crap shoot so always account for that extra tax.

It's the same warranty except you have to pay shipping across the country and it's $1,560.00 plus tax and shipping here in Canada. The one I linked can be brought to a depot less than 30 min from me. I appreciate the advice but spending over double the price plus tax and shipping for a small tent isn't going to happen. I do still appreciate your suggestion. You recommend a great light, can't argue that.

You have a Canadian HLG site. I don't know the discount code for it though.

Thanks, I have looked on their site. They are out of the 550 and the 600 is $1,560.00 plus tax and shipping. Just out of my price range but I appreciate the response.
Edit: They dont have a Canadian discount code.

So how many did you buy? :bigjoint:
LOL, so after much debate I ended up going with the HLG 600 Rspec. Was a tough one but after emailing HLG Canada they provided me a 10% code and with the ULA/CSA cert and 3 year warranty I finally just went that route. I am sure I could have done this cheaper. At least I know this will be a good light and will be fine for a 4 x 4 tent.
