Is there any thing else anyone suggests?

I got this bulb and cheap reflector for like 15 bucks at a home improvment store.

Is there anything else that will help besides an expensive HID?

the picture is attached!!

Yeah like 5 more of those :) I used those for a while until I got an hps/MH. They work fine. You just need more wattage, but still pending on how many plants you have.

i have a couple of them got the reflecters too. i like them.
also a couple of 4' floros and i try to get something new once a week.
most floros are pretty cheap and it all helps the veg cycle.
the hid lights do make a big difference though.
just got a 400w hps for flowering and have been using it for veg till the girls are ready and they are loving it

take that reflector and screw in a socket extension (lowes, home depot, wal mart) and buy a splitter. then screw in 2 26w cfl's into the splitter then into the fixture. it works good and only cost about 3-4 bucks. you will not be sorry

common dude, you need to up your game to about atleast 4 of those. get 3 more bulbs from walmart. buy 2 "Y" splitters, buy another one of those reflectors with a plug. connect the Y's with 2 bulbs. now your running 4 bulbs. that should cover 1 and a half plants maybe

haha ive been trying to save for a 400W hps.. this is the first time with a hydro setup so i wanna try and see if I am successful before i spend my money!

i also found a CF flood light which is way more powerful so i think im going to get that plus the y splitters.

Thanks for the advice!
