what does BX mean

i see some strains have a BX after the name. what does this mean? i see like critical mass BX and apollo 13 BX

Back Cross... It means they bred it out and then crossed it to itself to make a more "uniform" phenotype

Essentially it makes a 75% representation of the mother plant. Or thereabouts depending on dominant genes.

no it means backcross, so its means that it is a strain that was created by breeding the child of hybrid cross, back to one of the parents.

so you take WW and bubble gum breed them togethere to get the new strain WWxBgum, then you take WWxbgum and breed it back with either WW or bubble gum, the result of this is strain like this WWx(wwxbgum) this is a Bx1 bx2 is when you take WWx(wwxbgum) and breed again with WW so you have WWx(wwx(wwxbgum))
