At the end of your grow you flush your plant with water for 1 week which gets rid of the chemicals. Its just watering your plant with water at the end of your grow to get rid of the chemicals.

A deliberate process of using excess water to remove excess salts from the soil

Plants that have been fertilized with water-soluble fertilizer (such as Miracle-Gro)
for too long will build up salt residue in the soil, and leaching can help reduce the toxic effects of this buildup

You rather flush them than to smoke the chemicals u used to feed them with. What u feed them is what u smoke so thats why u have to flush them. I heard that u can die from smoking the nutes u feed them. So flush them 1-2 weeks b4 u harvest them.

its good to flush once a month, thats if you have time ~hehe~ You'll see what I mean its very time consuming...
But, yeah flush w/ ph balanced water and you can also flush w/ Final Phase [ Advanced Nutrients ] always use 3x the size pot you are using when flushing...
GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey I am getting little yellow/white spots on my leaves. The runoff Ph on them is as follows. 6.8, 6.1, 5.7, 5.8, 5.6, 5.8, 5.9 . Here is a link to the pics. Please advise. Click HERE Also when flushing what do you mean by {Flush with PH balanced water} To what PH do you refer 7.0 or what?

Thanks again for the help.....

sigh...smoke the chemicals... die from not flushing your plants...dude you must be stoned. People flush in hydro to remove the build up on the roots and to feed there plant just water for the last couple weeks of there life. Most soil growers who are organic don't flush because you have no salt build up.Some people say flushing makes a difference, some say it doesn't. I'm organic in soil so have never flushed. However the plants don't take up your nutes and store them they break them down into useable forms of what they need. The flush debate is and will be around forever.

Exactly. Only reason to flush in soil is if chemical fert salt buildup is causing lockout or severe ph issues. I've never noticed any difference between flushed and non flushed smoke. Besides, flushing one or two weeks before harvest starves the plant, thereby affecting your yield.

Few days before harvest I'll just give water and molasses, otherwise I keep feeding up to that point

Yup...which is why trying different things on your own and finding what works for you is the best way to go.

I use ice water in the end to trick the plant into thinking its life is about to end ( because it is) I dunno if it does any good or not, but the resident expert around here ( the Mrs) says the smoke keeps gettin better so I guess somethings working.
Also, I cant understand why worrying about PH at end of term makes any sense at that particular point. Course I'm talking about final flush here which is the only time I do it unless I've screwed up major with the nutes.

I have found that I can flush a plant in coco in about 4 days.
I usually flush for 7-10 days. 3-4 days of a 24% fert solution, then two days of Florakleen, then ph water after that.

Flushing in soil is a completely different ballgame than hydro and not as necessary.
