I don't go to farmers or flea markets.
Why?
I don't trust the products.
Much like most things at Walmart or almost anything in a dollar store.

Sounds like that LP weed might be causing some paranoia ;)

This is a perfect example of prohibitionist thinking though. 'I don't trust something, therefore lets regulate it / ban it'

Regulations are just the ability to write law outside the purview of a voter. It's a bullshit. Completely unnecessary color of law bullshit. Parliament can override regulations but they rarely if ever do. Because they gave up the responsibility and they have blind faith because it's easier... or they're just paid off. Either or. Depends on the person.

The TPP is flat out treason against the country. So was NAFTA.

Good points here.

MMAR/MMPR were in the Gazette, not passed as an act of parliament. The government can scrap the entire program and replace it with the MMZR or whatever they want to call it in a day.

Putting it through a non-Harper parliament would encourage analysis from all sides. Rather than Aqlkakkwhatever / Ambrose rushing something through because they got slapped by the courts.

e: Not to mention R v Smith was handled with S 56 exemptions. That's even worse than the Gazette.

Yep. Any corporation can sue us, in secret courts arbitrated by corporate lawyers when we as a sovereign nation pass a law that might hurt their profits. We're the most sued nation under NAFTA.

e: And I guarantee you LP's will try and use it. If govt passes something allowing home grows, Tilray can easily say 'this is hurting our profits' and sue.

You guys prefer to fight and argue than have an open minded conversation about the big picture.

I understand you're passionate, but if you were really pro mj you'd think about and consider all aspects of what a legal system would really look like.

It's all, pro BM and anti regulation in here. Really makes you wonder what people's motivations are.

I think people should be able to grow their own opium too. Safer than oxy is. Even if imperfect. A lot cheaper too (not that oxy should be expensive but hello government controls to keep prices way sky high artificially).

It's been demonstrated you have quite a poor grasp of the laws and constitutional status of cannabis, as well as parliamentary democracy in general.

You're darned right people are 'anti-regulation'. Regulations aren't intrinsically good and something that we should have way more of.

Yeah, that cocksucker who owns that pharma company and jacked prices and was then hit up on stock charges would have done a better job at regulating costs for patients and ensuring safe practices.

The only reason he could do that was because he owned the patents and had protection from government. I am a lot smarter than you are.
 
Actually I'll expand a bit on regulations here.

Regulations are brought in to address an issue, like the SEC in the states to prevent stock shadiness.

What is the reason for 'regulation' when it comes to cannabis? There's some conflicting interests between med and rec for sure, but where are all the people who have either gotten sick or died from 'unregulated' weed?
