lol...are u serious man ...u talk a big game like your some breader who knows so much more than the humble posters on rui.....(lots of riu member are here because they are new to growing but trust me there are master growers here...or have been on here at one time.... asking newb questions....i know some)
dont get me wrong im sure youve grown out several strains and have some type of knowledge on strains and breeders...
but whats your point of this thread ????
You dont know about the issues cali connect was having???...... its already been stated what happened by a couple posters on this thread .... i also read on my local socal site about the issue with outsourcing work to other breeders... and mikemikeemikee (swerve) already admitted that he made mistakes .... thats what happens when your trying to cater to a nation of growers who want the original cuts of og...via seed ....
Now the fashion in which you post tells me allot of what kinda person u are...... the type who goes and reads all the post at the farm and icmag.... basically spending way to much time on the net... and u name drop rez and swerve like u know them personally.... most people who really dont know much first hand , and refer to these guys.... because if u google og or what have u there names will pop up.... but true breeder , growers, and patients alike in my community know that rez and swerve ....are just some breeders that came up with some of chemdogs gear (gifted decades ago)and pretty much ran with it crossing everything and eventually ousourcing these clone only strains to the rest of the world via the farm or what have u..... for ridiculous prices .... because at the time these genetics were really not availible.... they were only availble in clone form , by a relativally small group of growers in california....(not so small anymore)
and even if they were able to cross the clone only strains back 5 or six times ...u still could end up with a descent og good cross......
But now years later everyone (and there mothers) can come up with a og cross by simply getting some pollen from a chem or sd, or maybe some type of og and cross it with a clone from a local la shop..... it might not be too stable....but here are ways to weed out good phenos... its not rocket science..
So you should know by now that any seed with the og kush tag on it ... isnt garunteed to pop out some fire og kush that u would see frequently in the med scene in southern cali ..... but its possible to get allot of characteristics..... and maybe even one or 2 out of a pack of ten beens from cali connect beans that actually does some justice to the strain....
Ive never grown any cali connect gear so youll never hear me bash them ...... i have tried flowers from cali connect bean.... and they were pretty good.... a lil more bland on the og side..... allot of people in socal will tell you there more on the lemony desilly side .... or earthy side... where most of the goood ogs..truer og's have a nasty like funk... sometime like cologne or even sometimes to the effect of bad breath.....along with te fuelly backer.....
As u mentioned before u have access to cuts so why even go this route.... just go get your cut ...(but i doubt u have access to these genetics that are at my fingertips...thats why you sware by sannie gear.......who the hell is sannie...lol)
Thats what i do ....no need to gamble with beans... besides i want whats hot and im lazy.... dont have time to germinate anymore... and most of the strains i like are years from being tested and stabalized into bean form.....
Furthermore,this is not the way you should talk to people if u are true grower , breeder, patient on the med front....
Bs like hording strains and shit talking doesnt go down where i reside... people share cuts, cuts are sold at low prices and we help each other out no matter how newb or new a person is to the med scene..... All the true masters and established vendors i talk to and post with dont come off rude or condescending (well maybe ogr sometimes )...... comeon brother growers need to stick together and share the genetics... thats what its all about .....(the hokey pokey..lol)

let me summarize things so, people who don't like to read can catch up. i started the thread cuz i'm playing around with this breeding thing. fuck selling seeds! i'm talking real money. the kind that you get from having unique meds that noone else has the advantage of saying they have. i saw the who thing unfold on icmag about the autoflowering of the sfv but, i never payed attention to swerve i think he was with kryptonite seeds @ the time(i don't remember). it was something hard not to notice, threads were popping up everywhere and when your shit isn't right over there mofo is gonna call you on it. when he got the boot gypsy removed everything about dude. i remember reading people who understood what was happening to the genetics in their gardens explaining in detail what and how this shit happened. this is the info i've been looking for so, i don't have the same fuck up. it's such a dead issue over there that noone cares or wants to even revisit the topic. i know there's people on both boards here cuz they put me on. all have since left riu but, i do have an affinity for riu cuz it is so uncensored opposed to other sites. that's it just looking for info relative to that. dude started trolling my thread (2nd time btw) and the thread has taking a turn. so, what that's how it works on these types of forums. regardless, information is now available to those who didn't know about the autoflowering issue. there's still people who didn't get replacements or their $.

well imhop, i think it was OK to post this question, like you said 'there are many noobs here' and if they chose Cali's gear to begin with and they ended up with crap then it may be over for them b4 it began. i have seen many of good breeders bashed here, where were you when DR. Greenthumb was bashed? you can't pick and choose . i am no breeder but i was able to smoke many good strains since 1971 and grew out probably one of the first 50 packs of NL5 from holland.
BTW, don't even try to talk trash about Sannies, herijuana was developed by hillbilly dreams back in, you guessed it, california.

Ill tell u one negative aspect of seeeds..... you cant get certain strains in seed form..(at least most of the good ogs i see at the shops).it takes allot of time and work before a line can be stable...
Lastly never heard of sannies gear..... im sorry nothing against him.... i see he has herojuana ..and thats a lovely strain ive smoke herojuana og .... and its killer.....
But not regular herojuana....so i dont know if its as good.......
I could sit here a name strains like sour dubs, louie Xiii, skywalker og, but you probly never heard of them .....
