What happened?

This was doing great and then started to droop like this. It hadn’t been watered in a while so my natural guess was to give it some but it isn’t bouncing back. Any thoughts??

thanks in advance!

Definitely dry. How long has it been since you watered? Container size and how much did you use to water?

Please tell us this is not coco.
Probably a week or so. 3 gallon fabric pot. I don’t measure amount, just wait until it runs out the bottom.
Worried the soil went hydrophobic…not coco

is the pot light or heavy since watering? If it was that long ago the soil may have become hydrophobic so most of your water may have just passed right through.. If that is the case a drop or two of dish soap or some aloe or yucca mixed with your water can help. You will also want to water very slowly and in batches, it may not be a bad idea depending how it goes to allow the plant to sit in some water for a little while to saturate the medium

If you are letting it run out the bottom, I assume you have a saucer underneath it. Let it sit in the water for a bit and soak it back up.

Drowning the plant in water gets that result. Might be even worse nitrogen burn. How do i know? Drowning plants was my first mistake.
