What is happening to my plant?? Happened over night.

Woke up today to find my Indica full of leaf blemishes and some curling leaves. Last night before lights out it was fine. A few older leaves had these blemishes but overnight they appeared all over.

I am in a DWC system with 600 HPS. Just started week 4 of flower on Sunday. (Since flip) I also have a sativa in same system and it looks great. The sativa bud development is way ahead of this indica as well. This is my first go at this so I am hoping someone can tell me what's going on. I was thinking maybe phosphorus deficiency or maybe even root rot. But my water Temps stay right at 67-69 degrees F. Canopy temp right around 80 during lights on. Down to mid sixties at night. Humidity stays right around 40%. I change my rez water every week as well. My concern though is that this plant is big and it's only in a 5gal bucket and hoping my roots didn't overtake my airstone. I can't check because no way to lift plant off bucket. Use general hydro floor trio with calmag and hydroguard.

Thanks for your help. This is the first sign of something wrong this entire grow so far. Hoping it's ok.

It's just too hard to see in that light. Get some natural light pics when you can and we'll have a looksy.

Didn’t look at all the pics, the one I did, looks like a ph swing to me.

When I changed my rez last Thursday I was at a 715 PPM and ph of 5.15. When I checked last night before adding 3 gallons to top off rez I was at 1225 PPM and ph of 5.98. Could it be that when I change my rez I flush the buckets with straight water at a ph of 7.0? It doesn't stay in there. I just fill the buckets up with a load of plain water to make sure the little bit of water I can't get out with the pump gets diluted with reg water. Maybe I should be adjusting ph of the water I use to do this? Is this even necessary? Meaning the diluting of the bottom fluid I can't get out with pump when changing rez? I do it just so I dont slowly increase my ppm by mixing full strength nutes with the remaining water in rez that is usually higher ppm.

I have noticed that when I do the water change. The plants stop drinking and growing slightly for a day or two after. The water is also pretty cold when I do the rez change. About 64 degrees vs the 68-70 the water stays at after it adjusts to room.

This is almost certainly a PH issue

Thanks!! I'm guessing the fact that I flood the roots with 7.0 water before resuming their reg 5.1-6.0 water is the culprit. 6 days out of the week I stay at a pretty consistent 5.1-5.5 and its just on rez change day that they get the shock of cold water and 7.0 tap water. Ill start ph'ing the water I use to flush the buckets and see if that helps.

I assume the sativa is just more forgiving when it come to ph which is why she isn't showing the same signs.

I don't know if that's it honestly I check mine every 24 hours and sometimes I'll be at 5ph and then I'll adjust accordingly. But that does look like ph damage......I'd also be trimming some older fat leaves there you have a lot in there. Remember you are growing buds not leaves.

I defoliated everything under the screen today. And have been selectively removing canopy leaves that get to big but yes.. it's getting very crowded on this screen.. the couple leaves remaining underneath I just couldn't reach. I posted a message a while back about removing leaves and I got a lot of "DO NOT DO THAT!" posts so I have been hesitant. Lol.

I do it twice around the first week of flower is the first time and then about 30 days later and periodically here and there good air flow is the main key

Ok. So I may have been a little late with the defol under the screen. I am on day 17 today post flip. I was wrong I'm my OP when I said just started 4th week. I had just started 3rd week Sunday. I am just going to keep a daily eye on PH and keep it between 5 and 6 the best I can.

Every time you are in there your water should be set to 5.8 or as.close as possible. That's the best possible ph you could be at

Yeah consistency is key with the PH, and defoliation is important but also remember the leaves are the solar panels to the plant, so I generally do a tiny bit during veg, and then once flowering I do just enough to expose bud sites and allow airflow
