What is happening to the USA?

Definitely and without a doubt my viewpoint is skewed since I have only been to 90% of the worlds countries so far.
I haven't been to 90% of the world's countries but I've been to a few myself. My point is that even though you are well travelled you are still a U.S. citizen which would mean you probably have the most contact with Christians (since that is the dominant religion in the U.S,). :joint:

All religions are hypocritical. It seems to be because humans are hypocrites and since religion is practiced by humans there is bound to be some hypocrisy. Let's not forget that there are many who use religion as a means to further some agenda. Just as islamic extremists don't represent all of islam, it's not really a fair statement to say this religion is more hypocritical than that one. :peace:

Yeah well you know how The Marines are, always going somewhere.

Religion is just a crutch for weak minded individuals IMO. Religious people are weak people who for the most part just want to be told that their line of thinking is what will get them into heaven. All religions are equally worthless, not a single one can prove any claims made by it. But Christianity is supposedly based on the teachings of Christ and im pretty sure JC didn't advocate the total annihilation of brown skinned people in the Middle East, in fact Im pretty sure he advocated just the opposite. For every American killed in Iraq they kill 100 Iraqi's. I wasn't aware that there were so many bona fide terrorists in Iraq , I mean after all that IS why we went there correct? To take care of Terrorists? Oh wait, "terrorist" is just a euphemism for someone from the Middle East. So Basically you have all the Christians ( Who supposedly follow the teachings of Christ) killing all the Muslims. Instead of the "War on Terror" shouldn't we call it something more appropriate like "The Crusades part deuce" or something?

I'm not a fan of organized religion either. Maybe this is a crusade of some sort but that begs the question, WHY? Because of oil? I don't buy that as the only reason for the invasion and slaughter of so many. Billions of dollars spent and for what? I go back and forth on Iraq. I think we probably did need to take Saddam out (we should've done it back in '91) but I don't like how the administration built up and justified it. They could've made a better case but unfortunately they used residual outrage over 9/11 as a tool to gain support for the war. Not smart IMO.:dunce:

why don't we just call it exactly what it is? the latest battle in a never ending war between the various ideologies of mankind that has expanded beyond all reason and sanity over the centuries. i guess that isn't as catchy as "war on terror". there will always be another excuse, another retaliation, another difference of opinion or another cause to further. there never can be a winner and there never will be an end, only those who temporarily hold the upper hand and the occasional lull in hostilities.

For sure, peace is not profitable for the weapons manufacturers.

it has nothing to do with profitability, it's just human nature. we seem to have a hard time managing tolerance, but once we manage to attain it we try to demand it become acceptance and we start the problem all over again.

Its like we always need an enemy to be around to make us believe in our cause.
